I had some free time this afternoon so I had a go at doing an overlay for Karl (middle pic).

Not sure it's much use as I may be just morphing one face into another, but some features really don't seem to change much.

In the third photo of Harmless...can anyone make out what is on his hand? Right above the knuckle...Looks like a V to me

Yes. I was thinking maybe someone needs to let the Karl Busch facebook page know in case the sheriff's officer made an error. I don't feel I'm the right person for that.

I agree BOH and I still feel someone needs to make a phone call. I wonder if LE only said that on the facebook reply because they thought he was a reported missing person and LE has said they have checked all databases. I feel someone needs to contact LE and make it clear to them that Karl is NOT listed in any missing person's databases. I really think Karl is our unidentified hiker. I won't be convinced it is not him until someone calls and he gets placed on the rule out list on NAMUS. Karl needs to get added to NAMUS himself if he is not Denim. He is so spot on for a match in so many ways. I wish I was able to call myself (I know you have the same problem BOH but someone reading here must be able to make a call to Florida). I'm so sad at the thought of Denim not being identified in time to go home for Christmas. It has been too long. He deserves to have his name back.

I think these 2 people look so much alike except one thing strikes me here. Denim's picture is pretty recent, last 18 months or so.
Karl's picture is from 2012? Karl looks older to me than Denim. Denim's face has a younger skin tone and smoother than Karl's.

That is THE ONLY thing I can see that is different FWIW...

I did tell them Karl was not in any databases. They still replied in under 5 minutes that it was not Harmless...Not sure how they can decide that unless there is something about Harmless they have not shared with us. Even then, the details on Karl may not be complete and it would seem they would have to do a little investigating into his profile before ruling out in 5 minutes or less.

Karl had a couple of DUI convictions, so his fingerprints should be on file. Maybe that's why they were able to rule him out so quickly?

If he was found I would expect them to take that page down. Looks like they last posted in 2017 though-- maybe they are not monitoring it anymore since Karl's mom died? Also, if found recently, Karl had outstanding warrants against him. We would be able to find his arrest somewhere. JMO.

I agree, it seems like a match to me. I have not seen CarlK comment on this thread so he might not be following the case. I would like to hear his opinion on the morphing photos Legally Bland did:

I agree with you, the bigger chance is that they would have taken the Facebook site down if he was found and especially after Tatianabarbie contacted them about a possible match they would or going to.
