Yes, it's info from someone who thinks they met him while he was hiking and remembered him saying he had a sister in FL he had stayed with briefly. LE does not have any confirmation there is a sister in Florida.

Because earlier on I saw a comment on a hiking forum that was for (or included) Florida Trail. In comments regarding looking for anyone who knew the name of MH, someone commented that their own brother hiked Florida Trail early spring and stayed with them in Florida for "a period of convalescence" before going home. They were going to ask him. I am wondering if there was confusion about who the hiker met, if you follow.

The pod cast mentions MH being in Georgia at the hostel owned by the same guy who sold MH this unique tent, if I understood this right. He was there one night before Thanksgiving and 2 or 3 nights after. Does this fit the timeline that Gardener1850 brought forth? Does it indicate a loop? Would he, could he have been near Stone Mountain Georgia and if so, about when?

If you sort the comments by “Most Relevant” it shows up around the third entry down (from 10 hours ago).

I wonder if somewhere near to his final campsite or along the route he buried his documents/money/valubles to avoid identification. I was thinking about him using a fake name and living the nomadic, identity-free life of a thru-hiker, wouldn’t he strive for the same anonymity in death?
I’m sure the police made a cursory search of the area but it would be a needle-in-a-haystack to find if he had chosen to hide something well.
