On December 26th, Deputies responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Shirley Drive, Pahokee.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 7 year old child suffering from a gunshot wound. The child was transported via trauma hawk to a trauma hospital. He is listed in critical condition.

Further investigation has determined that two children inside the home were playing with a loaded handgun and one child subsequently shot the other.

Detectives ARREST Mother of Child for Aggravated Neglect of a Child Resist without Violence.

Frandreka Washington was booked into the PBC Jail on Friday, December 28, 2018, NO Bond. She will be attending first appearance on Saturday morning.
