How does a hat come into it? Was that part of the story? Or just discussed as a potential reason for the abduction? (Assuming he was known to wear a red hat?)

I wonder what the end goal was with this ruse.

That comment was actually in a MSM article that was posted here. I can't find it now so I'm not sure if it was removed but I promise that's where I read it. Where they got that info I don't know but this whole ordeal tells a lot about the issues we have today. This has nothing to do with race/politics, just a run away kid! IMO

Kid was found…he’s got problems and now a criminal record. To put your family and entire community and use up resources is criminal. Still glad to see this instead of alternative outcome but I hope he gets sufficient punishment. What a shame.

Agree 100% hope we get to hear what that punishment is - given he's a minor.
