I can not wait for the trial. I don't like jury selection.. Most the time they all annoy me..

29 people have been sent home from a group of 50 prospective jurors today. Soon they'll start on another pool of 100

Bringing in the next 100 now. Looks like 34 have hardships and 70 have heard publicity. Here we go with more questioning.

They keep asking about the perp walk video, when she was shaking and going through tardive dyskinesia from the drugs.

Why are they so interested in that? Do they want to know how many people think she's going through withdrawal?

Court is on a 10 minute break. This judge has been very good about being prompt and starting when he originally said. I like him so far.

Why are they so interested in that? Do they want to know how many people think she's going through withdrawal?

I think since this is an insanity defense both sides want to know if perspective jurors saw the video and if it sways their opinion one way or another. Most people watching wouldn't know the shaking was due to tardive dyskinesia and as they have stated they think it made her look crazy. Prosecution won't want those folks on the jury.

Oh, I know. The other said she "is" crazy and the new one said she "looked" crazy??

After additional questioning this person said he could ignore it and only form an opinion based on the evidence. Prosecution had no other reason to object so he was retained.

All of the retained jurors will still need to go through voir dire I'm sure the prosecution made a note of this juror for additional questions.

Juror: "I’ve been seeing a psychologist, I understand how things get to you & you’re not yourself when you do stuff." "I'm on the fence in my opinion." Prosecution argues to excuse her, defense argues to retain her. Judge agrees with the state, juror is excused.

Judge has council at the bench and the mic is turned off.

Judge wants to know why they don't just take 6 people that didn't have a hardship or heard pre-trial questioning. Council wants to hold all of those people in reserve for voir dire so as they eliminate jurors the reserves can be brought in.

All this to come out with 16 jurors.

They will continue tonight until they get their 90 retained jurors. All the rest will be held in reserve for voir dire tomorrow.
