who is that family they keep showing?

Yes that is her family and her sister sits on the very far end. She looks almost like JS just maybe younger.

I couldn't agree more!! I"ve done a lot of research on this case. The more that comes out, the less sympathy I have for JS. Her attitude seems to have been very manipulative. She wanted control over the perceptions people seemed to have of her mental illness and substance abuse issues. This is a woman, imo, who saw her world disintegrating and lashed out in a rage. The email she sent to Parker shows her desire to inflict pain. I do think she intended to kill herself but the police showing up prevented that from happening. The defense seems to be trying to pick and choose pieces from the journal that show her level of depression and mental illness. Well, we know she was depressed and mentally ill. That doesn't mean she was unaware of what was right and wrong. She says that she is sorry she took the kids away from Parker. That, IMO, indicates she knew it was wrong. At the end of the day, she was a drunk druggie who cared more about wallowing in self pity that making any appreciable change in her life. Its just terribly sad that Beau and Calyx were consumed by her in the end.

IMO Beau and Calyx were the one way to guarantee Parker suffered.

no dates given on pill bottles

I take a number of medicines and will for the rest of my life so I get the doc to have all my scrips in 90 day orders (except the real expensive ones). I get a discount at the pharmacy for ordering 3 months at a time and the risk that I run out of one or two because I forgot to get them refilled hasn't happened since I went with 90 days. I reorder when I see I am down to a few weeks.

What I am saying is 70 pills doesn't shock me. Taken once a day, that's a little over two months. Taken more than once a day I would be reordering soon :floorlaugh:

Didn't Andrea Yates put her children in bed?

Andrea put them on the bed, covered by a sheet, but not tucked in, I believe. She was drowning them, couldn't keep them all in the tub, had to move them aside.

That is what I'm trying to say. The people who knew her knew she should not have a weapon. Her doctor was treating her for depression. In order to qualify to not own a gun it seems you have to kill someone, then they can un-approve you from buying another weapon. jmo

I missed the medicine testimony. Do we know that all the scrips came from one doctor? What about the dates when the scrip was filled and how many pills remain?

JS is a 50 year old woman. No one was forcing the booze down her throat. My doc prescribes medicines for me but it is up to me to follow the instructions and not abuse any of them.

I agree, was not absolving her at all.
I just am astounded by the amount of scrips she has.
That is why I wondered if they were all from the same time period, or possibly overlapping, some older, some newer, try a different one, etc.

And also why I said this Doc might be worrying.
When reading off some of those pill bottles they were all from him. If I was that Dr. sitting at home listening to that I would be bumping up my malpractice.
NOT saying he deserves that. Just saying this is the world we live in, and I am betting sooner or later it will come up :sigh:

ETA- The amount of actual pills is not what threw me, it was the amount of different kinds of pills she had.
It seemed like way too many to not have bad interaction.

in the emails she had some sort of note from the doctor saying it was ok to have one or two glasses of wine while taking lithium....

*Catching up* from the break, so if this was answered I will delete.

The man on the end is Parker Schenecker.
One of the women is his sister I believe?
Possibly his mother is there also.

I know Parker and his sister were allowed to stay in court even though they will testify (Or was is JS's sister?).

Not sure who the woman was who was crying though.

I had missed the State's opening statement but while watching the talk shows last night a photo was flashed that looked like the State attorney, during opening, and then a photo of JS grinning and shaking her head. It was very different than the sullen expression she presents, most time, in court.

I think Parker is on the other side---the male is her brother

Yeah, I call BS on that

What should I avoid while taking lithium?

Avoid drinking alcohol or using illegal drugs while you are taking lithium. They may decrease the benefits (e.g., worsen your symptoms) and increase adverse effects (e.g., sedation, dizziness).

Avoid excessive intake of caffeinated beverages, such as coffee, tea, cola or energy drinks, since these may decrease levels of lithium and decrease effectiveness of the medication

Pretty much any drug taken for mental health is a big NO-NO to combine with alcohol.

I wasn't disagreeing with ya Nymeria! :loveyou: I think you are probably right on the money and sooner or later that doctor may be getting served. With our current 'What me personally responsible?' society I can imagine even the clinic getting sued for letting her leave too soon even though she was a voluntary admission and as far as I know can leave whenever she wants.
