Does anyone else think that fat bloated 🤬🤬🤬 looks just like Michael Myers?

This case is making me completely sick to my stomach, I don't want to hear anymore, I can not take these details that are coming out. Carly is the same age as my own daughter. If I had to sit in that court room, I'd have a complete mental breakdown. Just fry the disgusting pig already! He said he didn't realize she was so young - he may be right, Carly could maybe pass for as old as 13 in which case having "rough sex" with her would be acceptable. :furious:

Yes, I think he does too. So, if he didn't think she was "that young," what age does he deem appropriate to rape and murder someone???

I want justice for these innocent victims. The Carlie's, Jessica's, Sarah's. All of them. These vile pieces of filth that prey upon children do not deserve to live on ths earth. It's heartbreaking anymore for me to follow these cases. I come and read every once in awhile. It turns my world upside down everytime I read about the hell these children went through at the hands of these pigs.

I know it but we have to keep it in the forefront. How many lives were saved because of knowledge? We won't know that statistic. We have to do this as this is the most importent thing we can do as individual human beings. Keep the faith, I think we are providing an importent service. I can only tell you from things I have learned on this board my life is changed forever.

Lawyers for the Herald-Tribune argued in the Joseph Smith trial that viewing the Carlie Brucia crime-scene photos is necessary for the public to accept the verdict in this capital murder case. Weak argument.

We're the public and not the jury. The public can follow and understand this trial without the press describing these photos in detail to us. We've got a highly capable state attorney, an equally capable public defender and a carefully selected jury, all doing their jobs. Thus, at the end of the day, I will be able accept the verdict without having been given an explicit description by the press of Carlie Brucia's body.

Cindy O'Neill's eyes never left her German shepherd Koda on Friday morning as the dog paced beneath an oak tree, sniffing soil from an old crime scene.

Although the 2-year-old dog is a rookie at search and rescue, finding missing people is old hat for O'Neill, of Venice.

As a member of the volunteer-based Sarasota K-9 Search and Rescue Team, O'Neill and her 9-year-old dog Tuff found teenager Sarah Lunde in April, dead in a fishing pond near her Ruskin home.

The questions Joseph P. Smith's defense attorneys aimed at witnesses Thursday were often complimentary -- leading the evidence technicians to say how thoroughly they searched for evidence of who raped and murdered Carlie Brucia.

Then came the turnaround: Why didn't two evidence technicians find the semen stain on the 11-year-old's red shirt, a key piece of evidence, before it went to the FBI crime lab?

Michael Myers from the Halloween series (which is actually a William Shatner/Captain Kirk mask turned inside out and painted white) or Michael Myers from Waynes World/Auustin Powers?

SARASOTA, Fla. — A semen stain found on the back of the shirt 11-year-old Carlie Brucia was wearing when she was raped and strangled matches the genetic profile of defendant Joseph Smith to "1 in 92 quintillion" — that's a one followed by 18 zeroes — a FBI examiner testified Monday at the auto mechanic's capital murder trial.

"I'm able to say Joseph Smith is the source of that DNA to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty," the witness, Jennifer Luttman, said over defense objections that she did not perform the lab tests herself.

For prosecutors, the evidence is the cincher in their case against Smith.

I am hoping some big african american decides he would like rough sex with him! I also hope he is a bit into sado masochism!!!
I too saw the video of the car wash abduction and she (no matter how drunk or drug affected )would pass for a very young 15 tops!!
I think his definition of rough sex needs outlining???? maybe he confused it with RAPE&MURDER!!!makes you wonder if he has a fetish for it and if he shouldnt be looked at deeper in regards to other child rape and murders............

The William Shatner/Captain Kirk inside-out variety. LOL Very interesting bit of trivia.

I heard on CTV trial coverage that other than his brother John testifying, no one from his family has been in court.

Brother John apparently took their mother with him to look for the body. Wasn't that nice of him?

I have finally figured out why they even bothered to go forward with a trial and attempt to plea not guilty....IMO it is all because they (the smith family) needed their to be a tv worthy trial so that they can later write a book about it!

  • #596
I don't think it has anything to do with the Smith family. I think the DA wants the death penalty and wouldn't agree to a plea. The way things are looking now the DA will have their wish.

In addition, the Smith family is not articulate enough to write a book even with a ghostwriter. Their thought processes are laughable. If they even believed for one minute that they would get a reward for discovery of Carlie's body than they are just...unbelievable. More than anything they would be considered complicite as they didn't report it immediately they went out in search after they had the info.

I agree--- and regardless of what alot of people have ahd to say about the
"intelligence" of this family- my opinion is, they still deserve the credit they went thru with pulling the information from the 🤬🤬🤬----- and the brother did testify- without him, they still would have had a strong case because of the video- but i believe the brothers testimony will be what pulls the trigger on the dp

Can you believe that??? My jaw is still dropped open after hearing that one. I turned it on today in time to watch the prosecution's closing statement. It was very good and left no room for doubt. Then, I made some coffee and settled in, all eager to hear how the defense would challenge that. When that defense atty. stood up and announced that they would not be giving a closing statement, I about fell off my chair!

Nancy Grace was so stunned. She kept saying over and over that in all her years of practice, she has never heard that before. She knows it has been done on rare occasion, but she just has never heard it.

The only ploy I can imagine here is that by doing this, the prosecution cannot now follow up with their even stronger rebuttal The jurors must really be scratching their heads.

Any bets on how long it takes them to reach a verdict? I predict less than one hour.

I think it was the brother who testified that he recognized his brother on that videotape? That was a really, really good thing he did, stepping forward like that. It just kills the defense.

No defense closing statement? I guess that is the most accurate summary of the defense in this case, but still....
