I have a question please. If the brother of a suspect states on fb his belief of where the missing person is (between point A and B) and the status of said baby, can that information be posted here? I don't want to over-step, without asking first, but I thought that information could be useful with getting a map started. tia

It's probably already on LE's radar but you could always report it to the tip line:

"Anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section at 941.861.4074 or if you wish to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers of Sarasota County, 941.366.TIPS (8477), or online at http://www.sarasotacrimestoppers.com."

You mean CW? Im sure he notified the police already. Hes taking it bad.

Praying real hard they sold the baby.

Why is the bond only $150K each?

  • #124
I hope they sold the baby to an underground adoption broker. Pretty tragic to wish for something like that but the remaining options are hard to think about.

That really would be a good thing. It is too bad we know better. I keep trying to come up with ways we can prevent something like this and I have nothing.

A search of the couple’s home on Orduna Drive revealed small amounts of blood located on the bed pillows, comforter and mattress, as well as a blood spatter pattern high on the walls, door, mirror an light fixture in the bathroom, according to the affidavit.

You'll see that kind of blood spatter in shooting galleries and/or homes where a lot of IV drug use is going on. Even on the ceiling, believe it or not. It may not be the baby's blood.

I'm hoping that the "surprise vacation" that she mentions was a trip to deliver Chance to a buyer.
If that is the case, searches of their cell phone and internet history should reveal details?
This is the only explanation I can think of for them to have been travelling with his clothes, and not him.
I think there were issues with bonding with Chance, and JW found a buyer. They probably blew the proceeds on drugs and hotels, and planned the "accident" to explain his absence... However, being drugged up, neither of them had the foresight to keep the car seat in the car.
I'm hoping this is the case, and maybe Chance is in the arms of a infertile couple who desperately wanted a baby to love and care for.

NBC2 also spoke with a high school classmate of Kristen's. She tells me the house Kristen and Joseph lived in burned down two weeks before Chance was born. The community rallied together to help them find housing and get baby clothes

She also said baby duane died of SID's.

I thought she said it was a urinary infection?

After that, I am leaning more towards Kristen being the person who killed Chance and here is why. I gave a child up for adoption when my oldest was 3. I knew this was the best thing for her and my son and I was very confident in my decision. However, I remember the exact moment the bond (not sure that is the right term) with my son shifted. I did not understand it, I was appalled by it but it was there. It was a huge dark and horrible unidentifiable thing I felt and it horrified me. I thank God I got through it, but I still feel guilt to this day. I also thank God I somehow knew my feelings toward my son was unfair. My thinking is Kristen felt guilty for loving her new son after her other son died.

From the link Eileen posted above:
Deputies said Kristin had another baby who died a year ago named Duane. Her arrest report said she told her mother she could not take care of Chance because she despised him, and he was not Duane.

And this would be the grandmother that finally called police, saying she was concerned over the disappearance because the parents were longtime drug abusers. Why grandma, why leave that innocent baby with a mother who said she despised the child and you knew she was abusing drugs???? Nothing good could come from that situation. I don't want to slam on grandma but people really need to step up more for these voiceless children.

Oh Pink my heart goes out to you ((((((Pink))))))).
And yes thank god for giving you the insight and the strength to get thru all that.

Sadly I think Drug Abuse is the demon here.
This area they live which is not far from the area they lived (down the road) When duane died is a METH haven. Joseph Looks Horrible and very scary I'm sorry he has been battling this drug for a long time u can see it in his photos.
I don't understand family letting these babies stay with them.

A lot of good information.

9-week-old missing; jailed parents offer different stories

http://www.wtsp.com/story/news/crime/2015/10/07/parents-jailed-case-missing-9-week-old/73532440/

Oh boy ....... " "They had informed us they had given the child away, because they were robbed in Augusta, Georgia," says Thorpe.

Investigators did track the couple to an Augusta motel. A woman there says they tried to sell her baby clothes claiming their child had died. "She was aware of Walsh and Bury, however no child was with them," Thorpe says.

From there, detectives tracked them to Hardeeville, South Carolina, where they got into a car crash on Friday.

"The car they were driving was totaled. Neither of them was hurt. One of the phone calls made to relatives was the child died. Hardeeville PD let us know there was no child in that car," says Thorpe.""
