Grandparents of missing North Port baby beg for help
http://www.winknews.com/2015/10/08/authorities-search-for-clues-in-9-week-olds-disappearance/

This article is a little confusing for me. They report that JW contacted his "mother" KTM, and told her the baby was killed in the car wreck. It's my understanding that she is actual KW's step-mother, and BBW is his mother. It was KW's mother (SSM) and step-mother (KTM) at the news conference, right? And they are the one's saying there is more to the story that will come out later? Since we're not hearing anything from JW's side, I wonder if we'll be going done that battered woman syndrome route?

As someone upthread said...these two are lazy. I also suspect the poor baby was thrown away in the trash. Disgusting and sad. I hope they check landfills. My heart hurts thinking about him. These idiots should have given him up for adoption. Or left him at the hospital or something.

And as far as the previous baby's infection. I feel that is negligence. It sounds like they probably ignored all the signs and the infection got worse and worse until he died. Horrible excuses for parents.

I so wish these people sold him on the undergroundadoption market. But, sadly, I just don't see it.

Offer them some meth, they'll talk. :(

KW's mother said that she "despised" baby Chance. However, according to her FB posts, she couldn't wait to start trying again a few weeks after baby Duane died and quote, " I just want to be a Mom so bad and we've been robbed 3 times in 2 years now."

As scrolled through the FB timeline of KW and one thing struck me as what she could've done with baby Chance. She posted that she was afraid she would die in a fire, but that she is a pyro.

Horrendous thought, but could she have done that to him?

So it sounds like mom was most likely suffering from postpartum depression after the birth of Chance coupled with guilt and grief from the loss of her first son is a terrible combination and then you add in drug use ... I don't think this baby stood a chance. I can understand the mother feeling guilty about loving Chance and resentment that he wasn't Duane especially in those first few weeks/months so those comments she made don't surprise me but they should have alerted the family that mom needed some kind of help. Those comments are huge red flags for postpartum. I can only imagine what her substance abuse added to those feelings. I do think when everything comes to light it will be the mother that did this. I wouldn't exactly call dad an upstanding citizen but I think he planned the "family trip" to help mom feel better and cover up whatever she has done. In my experience in counseling domestic violence perpetrators do love their significant others and they are typically protective and possessive of their loved ones. I just see him covering for her and helping her handle the situation. He was most likely the one to have taken care of the body and then wanted to get mom out of town away from everything so she would go back to being the woman he loved.

IMO she never wanted children!

Link to Sarasota Clerk of Courts. Dad has quite the criminal history, including assault with a deadly weapon (white female victim), a few battery charges (different female victim), drugs, dealing in stolen goods, etc, etc, but I haven't found anything on mom. Sarasota is the only county I checked though.

June 13th, 2015 @ 6:00pm Lullaby Lane, North Port The fire spread quickly from inside the garage and caused major damage to the home and car parked in the driveway. JW was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.

So this was just before Chance was born.

Looks like DCF was already involved with this family:

"The state Department of Children and Families said they are “familiar with the family” but did not elaborate due to confidentiality laws regarding abuse reports and investigations. DCF is working with the sheriff’s office, FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the search for the baby."

Much, much more at link - including info that mom gave a child up for adoption 10 years ago. I wonder why she didn't do the same this time?

From your link:

Their child, Chance Lee Walsh, was last seen with Bury on Sept. 9 at their home, according to a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office report. Bury’s mother, Sally Susino, attempted to check on her daughter and grandson that same day and two days later.
...
Bury then told Millwater that the baby was given away to a stranger at a Georgia hotel. The couple stayed at the Red Carpet Inn on Gordon Highway in Augusta, Ga. on Sept. 28 and Sept. 30, according to investigators.
...
Surveillance video from the Red Carpet Inn showed the couple without a baby. A hotel guest, Bailey Christensen, said Bury attempted to sell her various baby items, the report said.

“When asked why she was selling the items, Kristen told Bailey that her baby had died 3 weeks earlier,” the report said.

The timeline fits perfectly. Bury's mother attempted to see Chance on September 9 and 11. The parents stayed at the Red Carpet Inn on September 28 and 30. Bury tried to sell Chance's clothing and told the lady he died three weeks earlier, which would be September 9 if you count back from the 30th.

So the question is what physical condition was Chance in on the 9th that made the mother not want him seen? Either he had significant injuries or he was already dead. For little Chance's sake I hope his death was swift but I can't help but think about Colton Turner. :(

There seems to be no bond whatsoever between Chance and his parents and I agree that they are lazy druggies so where would they dispose of him? The connection to fire is concerning. I'm leaning towards a dumpster disposal (ugh) but I do think there could be other possibilities, which I won't get into.

NORTH PORT, Fla. – Authorities spent Friday morning searching the home of a missing 9-week-old boy for the second time as family members pleaded with the child’s parents to cooperate with investigators.

Nearly a dozen law enforcement vehicles arrived at 217 Orduna Drive at about 7 a.m. Most of the search, which included K-9 units, was conducted in heavy woods and a canal behind the home.

Sarasota County Sheriff's office just released this photo of KW and JW's car involved in the accident in SC. There's no room in that vehicle for a child seat that's for sure...

RSBM. This is what I keep reading in the MSM reports, but it's confusing. WHEN was the baby last seen exactly and by WHOM? The g-mother says she could hear someone inside but they would never come to the door. Did someone else see little Chance on the 9th because according to all these reports, the g-mom didn't?

According to previous reports, Grandpa was the last person to see the baby on the 9th.

This poor baby boy. Makes me so sad.
I don't have any kids & I would have taken him in an instant.
Seems pretty clear to me what has happened. I hope that these two losers stay behind bars for the rest of their lives.

I hope I'm very wrong but I'm wondering if Grandpa thought there was something very wrong with Chance, told Grandma his suspicions and then Grandma went over there to see for herself and they wouldn't let her in ?

Jmo, but if it is true, then that may be the reason right there as to why she went from doting loving mom to alleged drugged up liar. Losing a child shocks and changes people in many different ways. So IF her child did die of what she mentioned or some other accidental death, I can understand how she went down the path to drugs. Not everyone goes down this path, but it's not unheard of.

I don't think this is what happened. Her mother says they are longtime drug users. I assume that is more than a year?

What kind of car is it? Do you have a link to the pictures?
