According to police, there were two people in the car - a man (driver) and a woman (passenger). They apparently got into an argument in the car, and that’s when the driver stopped at the intersection.

JSO says the man put the baby on the ground, then drove off, hitting the 8-month-old in the process.

How horrible. So apparently because they were fighting, he deliberately placed her baby in the road, and ran over it? Too horrific for words.

A probable cause arrest affidavit was not immediately available so certain facts have yet to be publicly released. For instance it is unclear if Golden ran over the child on accident or if it was on purpose. The infant’s gender also was not revealed. Video from WJXT shows the area to be a well-traveled route.

IMO whether he did it purposefully or negligently, it was a very foreseeable potential outcome by placing the baby in the roadway.

Right now, it’s unclear if the people in the car were the baby’s parents.

The traffic homicide unit is now investigating and interviewing witnesses, including the driver.

What is WRONG with some people?!?!? I'm an eye for an eye kinda gal, and I don't mean having him run over by a car. The avg weight of an 8 mo old is ~20 lbs. He weighs approximately 10X that. The average car weighs ~4000 lbs. 10X that is 40,000 lbs. Let's see... what weighs approx 40K lbs...? Oh, I know!

And for the record... I'd do it. When I was in my 20's I wanted to be a heavy equipment operator. I LOVE heavy equipment! But at 5' and 100 lbs... it was not a job I could do. lol But, give me a hand to get into that cab and I'd get it rollin' over that horrible monster. True dat!!
