I'd like to know if the shovel had been used...I would think there would be some indication if it had or not (i hope not). This is awful.
Police: Suspect in missing UF student had shovel, duct tape
Police said they have recovered a shovel and duct tape in their investigation into a missing University of Florida student.

Is this bad reporting?
I just called the news desk and the reporter said that the info of the tape and shovel being recovered just started coming across the AP news wire.
I asked him if he was sure because so far they are the only station reporting that. He assured me it was a valid report.

IIRC, no evidence has been found around the Motorsports parking lot. That is where Bravo said he left Christian. I think the area where they're searching now is where Christian's last cell phone records indicate he was.
ColdPizza, I'm wondering if you would add to your map the Best Buy store and also Bravo's address. I'd like to see where they are in relation to the current search area. TY!
Something that mystifies me is why the CD they purchased would be missing. Did Bravo remove the CD from the case and leave it with Christian as sort of a message to him? Does anyone know the title of Kanye West's lastest CD?

Thanks Surfie and Gatorgirl! That title "Cruel Summer" could very well be a message. Bravo apparently was unhappy with a lot of things that happened to him over the summer and maybe held Christian responsible for at least part of it. Yeh, the CD is likely still in the car. But, I wonder where they found the case and cover, and why they weren't still in the car. Did Bravo want to keep it as a "momento"?
Wait. I'm confused. In the news conference the officer said they had EVIDENCE that pedro had purchased a shovel & duct tape. Now this news report says that they actually RECOVERED it.
So what's the real story here?
I'm still not seeing anyone else reporting the shovel and duct tape as being recovered. I'm going to believe at this point that was bad reporting.
