If someone buys a shovel and duct tape days prior to a planned (I'm assuming) attack, I'd expect that person to have also concocted a story or alibi in advance -- one that doesn't involve being the last person to see the victim alive (and certainly not one that involves beating the victim). Or at a minimum, I'd expect that person to plan to disappear themselves.

If this was premeditated, I wonder what Bravo's initial plan was. How did he deviate from his plan and why? Perhaps he didn't expect Christian to be reported missing so quickly. Did someone witness the parking lot incident (assuming that part was true) and that's why he admitted to being with Christian and fighting?

I also wonder why he decided to carry out his plan on Thursday. I believe I read somewhere that Christian would go visit his family in Miami every other weekend. Was this going to be one of those weekends? Did Christian have classes on Friday? Maybe Bravo thought he'd buy himself a couple days by having the girlfriend believe Christian went to Miami and having Christian's family believe he stayed in Gainesville. Does Christian have a car? Where is it? Where's his phone?

Sorry for all the speculation and unanswerable questions. I hope Christian is found soon and his family gets all the answers they deserve.

I was sorry to hear that Pedro's parents went back to So. Fl. I was hoping his parents would appeal to him to give up more info. Probably the attorney advised them to go back saying along the lines, he's better off facing these charges than murder charges. IMO

If that's the case then his parents are cowards. I understand it's their son and parents do not want to see their children go through anything terrible but at the same time if he MURDERED someone he needs to face his crime and tell cops where the body is. Its bad enough if this family has lost their son, but putting them through days and days of a long agonizing search, not knowing whether he really is dead or alive is just down right wrong.

Pedro's parents said that the media was painting Pedro out to me a monster. He is so much worse than a monster.

Do you know how to delete on here yet? If not just alert your own post on the red triangle upper right hand corner of your post and a mod will delete for you

Deleted. Sorry about that. Did not know it wasn't allowed!

Do we know where Pedro was arrested since the roommate hadn't seen him since thurs night?

Also, wonder what he said to LE about where his vehicle is? Is that where the hitchhiker story comes in? Did he say he picked up a hitchhiker and the guy stole his car?

Pretty long article but it does contain this tid bit which definitely tightens the time line if accurate.

Police first interviewed Bravo a day after Aguilar’s disappearance. He told detectives that he fought with Aguilar the night before, punching Aguilar in the face while the two rode in Bravo’s car, according to an arrest report.

Aguilar got out of the car, but Bravo followed him, tripped him, and jumped on Aguilar’s chest and continued beating him, the arrest report says.

Is it too soon to get the arrest report via the Sunshine Law?

Either he dumped his car in a lake or he picked up that hitch hiker they were talking about and had the hitch hiker give him a ride back home and keep the car.

So now we know that Pedro was accounted for on Friday. If we go by the roommates account of 8 to 10 pm Thurs when he last saw him and GPD interviewed him on Friday that's approximately 12 to 15 hrs give or take of Pedro unaccounted for right?

Here is the public records phone number to GPD. You can try calling and asking for it.

At least. Possible more if GPD interviewed him later in the day on Friday.

I obviously know what the shovel could have been used for, but what do you all think the duct tape could have been used for?

One possible theory is that he may have beat Christian to a semi-unconscious state and duct taped his mouth and then shot him.

Not sure.

I do think that the mugshot of Pedro reminds of that creep that killed the people in the Colorado movie theater. Something about the empty eyes.

On to keep reading - just saw that he has some pretty disturbing pics with guns and what not. Yea, I'd say he's pretty disturbed.

I mean, how angry was this kid? If he didn't shoot him and he beat him to death - I can't even imagine. Such a sad situation for all of friend and family and the community of UF.
