At least they've admitted volunteer numbers dropped because LE limited. Now they're saying they'll find something for everyone to do - that there is no limit to the number of people who can volunteer. That's good. I dunno about them putting a "disclaimer" about looking for a murder victim - and that it would be disturbing. I think people would assume that - it may dissuade someone from coming out because they have a vivid imagination. Lord.

I am sure Pedro went through CA phone with a fine tooth comb looking for texts and messages from his ex. That probably really set him off.Who knows what happened to the phone.

I think the phone will be found with Christian!

They posted the disclaimer to facebook initially because apparently people were bringing out kids to help. It was a couple days ago. I would think people would understand what they were searching for as well but I think Alot were hopeful they would find him alive. Either way, children should not be involved so I'm glad they nipped that in the bud. What will be found will be traumatizing for anyone.

I hope I'm wrong when I say this but I just don't feel that Pedro will talk. I don't think he plans on telling where Christian's body is. I only base this on the fact that he was initially suicidal and if he were to have actually committed suicide, no one would have known much of anything. It would have all been speculation until evidence was found but no concrete whys or hows.

Also, now that he has been on suicide watch and possibly in garb to protect him. I'm sure that this was pre-meditated but as well as this was thought out, I do feel that Pedro has a weird sense of remorse which is why he is a threat to himself. I do think if he could, he would end it all and never say anything. Unfortunately, I don't think he's remorseful enough in a healthy, normal way (not with murder but remorse in general) to do the right thing. In his mind, it's admitting guilt.

well, you know he has a "boutique" law firm- the lawyers description of their firm on LiinkedIn, which means Mom & Dad are paying the bill- or they think they're another Jose'. Real simple- they can tell him to spit it out- or enjoy the public defender if they are paying for anything. Whatever standing they had in their community is gone forever for the hunting/searching BS... their only chance at any redemption is to get him to talk. Standing by your kid also means doing the right thing IMO

BTW: I agree with you- the initial thoughts of suicide were because he got caught

I don't think he will, either. If Pedro was telling the truth and Christian was still alive when he left him, but was no longer at the same place when Pedro rode along with LE, it's possible that Christian crawled deeper into the woods when he regained consciousness b/c he would've been disoriented.

But, the evidence suggests that Pedro didn't want Christian to live - he admits he left him barely breathing. If Pedro is only trying to leave open the possibility that Chris was alive when he last saw him b/c he wants a lighter sentence, he has nothing to gain from revealing Chris's whereabouts. He would certainly not want to incriminate himself by revealing Chris's location if he knows that Christian wasn't alive and even buried him.

I think Pedro's only remorse is that he didn't get away with his crime. He wasn't suicidal until he was arrested in relation to Chris's disappearance. He was even asking his roommates about tickets to a FB(?) game when he returned home. He planned to carry on with his life as though nothing happened. Evidence of Pedro's purchase of a shovel and duct tape, and damage to his vehicle even suggest that he premeditated killing Chris and didn't have reservations about executing his plan. Very cold.

I agree to an extent but if a client wants to do something morally correct most lawyers would not stand in the way. These two have been friends for years. I honestly think they didn't look around for a lawyer and went with the first one. I do not think this is how respectable hispanic families act. This is all JMVHO!

I agree, but what I don't understand is that he had several days in which to calm down. And, once you've gotten to the point of taking steps to mend a broken friendship - starting talking again, invited the person on an outing, spent the day together doing fun things, etc. - that rage has normally fizzled. I keep thinking that maybe something was said during PB & CA's outing that re-opened an old wound, but there's every indication that PB planned the attack beforehand. Premeditated, devious and unthinkable.

No, I don't think there's any way PB is going to avoid a prison sentence, but I think he still believes he can avoid a first-degree murder conviction if no body is found and he continues to claim that CA was still alive the last time he saw him. Without a body, it's safer for him to take that chance, so I don't see him confessing.

Yes jealousy causes a rage in some that defies logic.
There was already mention of both men liking the same woman.
And the shovel .. IMO points to premeditation.
I think Bravo killed and buried Christian ....and the phone. :moo:

Still no Christian? :sigh:

Thinking of all his loved ones today. Please let today be the day he comes home to them. :rose:

Ugh. My boyfriend said something I wouldn't have thought of in response to phone going on and off in "different wooded areas" - that maybe an animal has it. Guess it would have to be large... Just a thought, although far fetched. Please let today be the day :(

Still sending hope and prayers for Christian to be found.

I really really thought Christian would be found by now. We all held out hope that Pedro would finally confess and save the continuous grief that both families are going through.

Pedro, just find a place in your heart to tell where Christian is.

Awful. I cannot believe he hasn't been found yet, with so many searching. :(
