ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando police could release the names of two murder victims Monday, after a family member discovered the two victims Sunday night inside a home on Woods Avenue, just west of downtown.

It was a family member who found the two bodies inside the Parramore home and, while police won't say how they died, neighbor Ray Ramey said he heard what sounded like gunfire late Saturday night.

"All I heard was a couple of gun shots. Sounded like three or four shots and I hit the floor," he said.

While detectives haven't confirmed who was in the home, neighbors said they hadn't seen the man who lives there since Saturday. They said a white Ford Explorer outside the home belongs to his friend and it also hadn't moved since early this weekend.

What happened moments before childhood pals Henry "Steve" Betts II and Christopher Yarber were shot several times in the head is still a mystery.

But one thing became clear Friday: An Orange County jury thought that their friend Kenneth Edward Mitchell II pulled the trigger.

Mitchell, 23, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder. Orange Circuit Court Judge Jenifer Davis sentenced the son of a local funeral-home operator to life in prison without parole.
