A couple in the Florida Panhandle is accused of kidnapping a man, cutting his throat, robbing him and throwing him off a bridge, according to an arrest report from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Nafis Reynolds, 31, and Natalie Fonseca, 25, are charged with attempted homicide, kidnapping, armed robbery, armed carjacking and drug possession.

The victim, who has not been named, met Fonseca on Facebook earlier this month and agreed to have dinner with her, according to a press release from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and an arrest report filed in the case and cited by the station WEAR.

During what investigators described as an “unorthodox date,” Fonseca invited the man to her home, where she introduced Reynolds as her “uncle.”

The trio then took a drive to the victim’s home, before getting back in the car and going on another ride, during which officials said Fonseca and Reynolds attacked him “and told him he was going to die.”

IMO: After they are found guilty, give them LWOP. To come up with this plan and execute it, you should never be walking the streets again.

This wasn't just about money, or they could have made a plan to obtain something valuable to sell. They wanted to violently victimize someone.

Bumping case up, waiting for outcome. I can't find any updates since Oct. 2023.
