Deputies in Manatee County are looking for a 26-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen since February 22.

Courtney Lea Hostetler was last seen leaving her mother's home on 39th Street East in Bradenton around 3:15pm on Friday, February 22. She was heading to 7-Eleven on 53rd Avenue East and Lockwood Ridge Boulevard.

Family members say Hostetler left her purse and a bag containing her belongings at her mother’s house and there was an assumption that she would return shortly. But she never returned.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Courtney's mother, Ilene Hostetler, said it is unlike Courtney to not be in contact with her friends and family. Courtney has a 9-year-old daughter herself.

“Please - someone must have seen something or heard something. Please help me bring my daughter home,” she writes. “Everyday that goes by this is getting harder and harder.”

Hostetler is white, 5'2" tall and 110 pounds with multiple tattoos, including a feather on her neck, and piercings.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, contact the sheriff’s office at 941-747-3011.

I go fishing there with my father in law. Reading into it, I feel for the family.. she seems so close to her daughter.

So...She left her mom's home to head to 7-11 without her purse?

Seems she moved in with her mom after making some mistakes. Nothing more than traffic citations and misdemeanors on her records, though. I wonder if she had some substance abuse in her past?

Hope they find her safe and sound soon. Two weeks is too long for a young mom to be away from her young daughter.

According to her father? She left to get cigarettes.. but yes it struck me as odd. Bradenton is a weird place, Either beach bummy or wealthy to super wealthy boating community.. Father in laws house is 20min of that 7-11. Snow birds occupying it atm..

She lives in an area on the east side of Bradenton that is known for crime and drugs, and has been since the 1970s. :(

PS...Was she bicycling the 2 miles to the 7-11?

I'm about 10 miles south of this area and I had not heard of this until now. Two weeks seems like a long time to get the police involved. Bradenton does have a diverse population. Some of the mother's postings mention that Courtney was online looking for a ride to Sarasota which is odd because she mentioned she had $30. Uber & Lyft are readily available here. You can see on the map, this area is very congested. Many of these stores were built within the last 3 or 4 years and this area is not run down.

I walked everywhere in Fl. I never left my purse at home until I lived in Miami. I was always afraid it made me a target. Either stuck cash in a pocket or used one of those teeny bopper cross over mini purses..you can tell I'm not a fashionista I dont even know what its called IMO Miami & Bradenton are different I believe I'm just thnking of reasons why she would leave her purse. Coming right back is usually the reason i did & not to make me & my purse a target. Also, I noted in her 2 fb accounts it Seems like she's posting to them simultaneously within days or same day & her appearance seems different in her selfies. Am i reading into that too much?

Her address from the Manatee Clerk of Court is in an area north of 34th Ave. East on 39th Ave. East. It's what was once an area full of orange groves, with larger lots and older homes. Not the best area, but not the worst either.
Where did you read that she was searching for a ride to Sarasota?

As many of you know, my daughter has been missing for nearly 3 weeks an I am extremely worried. This weekend, a few of us are getting out in the community to post flyers, search wooded areas, and get the word out. ANY and ALL help would be greatly appreciated!

Below are the things we hope to accomplish this Saturday, if you can help with any part of this, please contact me (941-565-5458) or meet at the listed address at 10 AM.

- Missing person posters distributed throughout Manatee and Sarasota County
- few wooded areas searched that we have heard possible sightings (Manatee County)
- All prayers are welcome and greatly appreciated!

If you can not make it Saturday and are willing to post flyers please contact me and I will get flyers to you.

I did not initially have the house number on 39th St E but I see now her Mother does live north of the 7-11 store, not south of it. The Mother had posted that Courtney had been on social media looking for a ride to Sarasota and that she had $30. It sounded like that tidbit was a result of the investigation into Courtneys SM accounts.

Here is the crime map and the satellite map for this area. The darker the color, the higher the crime. The red teardrop is the mothers home and the red circle is the 7-11 Store. When the land near the 7-11 Store was developed they had to bring in a lot of fill dirt because it's along Gap Creek. There are many low marshy areas and retention ponds due to the development of the land. While Florida is very pedestrian friendly overall, Bradenton is not known for their sidewalks. I hope the search provides clues.
