Circumstances of DisappearanceDaniel Lee Kriz came down to Florida from New York in December 2019. Daniel was last seen in the area of Main Street in Daytona Beach, Florida on February 5th, 2020. The truck he borrowed, was located at a park in Palm Coast, Florida in March. Daniel's wallet and cell phone were still inside the truck. Daniel was reported missing by his brother on March 15th, 2020.

John Doe was added to NamUs on 10 Aug 2020. IMO, he strongly resembles Daniel. Note the little mole on his nose as well as the vein markings on his forehead. JD's profile does not mention any tattoos though.

Unfortunately there is some previous charges for him, maybe the time in prison was useful, but this can also indicate that he was again in some trouble

Flagler county declined to search the vehicle or the phone, my brother had to plead with them to file the missing person report. Once they started investigating then they wanted the phone, we sent the phone via mail, it was not received. We sent pictures of the vehicle they asked for and sent articles of clothing for a search. My father also gave DNA. He did not leave the bar alone, there was a woman that left with him.

Did the phone package have tracing or tracking of any sort? It seems if the USPS goofed up, then LE could press them to search for it. Particularly if the packaged was scanned in when dropped off and then shipped out.

Details of Disappearance​

Kriz moved from Scotia, New York to Florida in December 2019; he borrowed his brother's truck to make the move. He was last seen leaving a gas station on Main Street in Daytona Beach, Florida on February 5, 2020, after having earlier visited Froggy's Saloon. He has never been heard from again.

In March, the truck Kriz had borrowed from his brother was found at Waterfront Park in Palm Coast, Florida with his wallet and cellular phone inside it. Authorities determined it had been there since at least February 6. They contacted his brother so he could retrieve the truck, and on March 14 he did, and he filed a missing persons report for Kriz the next day.

The circumstances of Kriz's disappearance are unclear. His case remains unsolved.
