“She was currently grounded for doing the same thing. Kids just don't think about consequences. She trusted him. It wasn’t hard to lure her. He had her heart. She would do anything for him."

While Danika thought she had found true love, Ashley claims the 16-year-old boy thought differently.

“He led her on for three months,” she says.

Ashley was in shock when she learned the barbaric way her daughter was killed.

“I’m a mess,” she says.

Both teen suspects have had prior “run-ins” with cops, but the nature of those encounters was not immediately clear because they are minors.

The parent(s) who owned the gun and allowed their teenager access to it should face the same charges, IMO. What is wrong with *them?* NO excuses.

This poor girl lost her life because of numerous sickos. I hope the justice system does not fail her and her family .

From reading the above article, it would appear that the guardian wasn't in legal possession of the gun. Obviously, this kid wasn't properly supervised, in any case.

Oof, she may not have been an ideal guardian for a troubled kid; “Jana Williams had been on probation stemming from an arrest for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in April, and her rap sheet includes a handful of traffic, theft and drug charges from October, 2023.”

Now, on top of that, she has “felony probation violation, felony drug possession, and one misdemeanor each for a moving traffic violation and possession of drug equipment.”

Wow. So I have many thoughts about this after listening to the sheriff. I have thought since the beginning from the original statement that LE did not believe there was an argument or a killing due to anger. Now it seems as if its developing into a possible pre-planned thrill kill; also basing my opinion on some things the mother said about it going on for three months or more. They obviously have to prove some things, but it sounds like from what was said here they have reason to believe the gun was fired by BOTH boys. This gives vibes of a planned thrill kill. Then to learn that the first person to actually find her poor little body STOLE her scooter and didn't bother to call anyone???? Where is his humanity?? Just awful.

That was the boys' story. The mother states that the boy was pretending to like her and leading her on. It sounds like maybe DT was very naive and trusting.
