Odd story...

I hope they can find out more information on a motive. It might happen more often than I realize, but it seems as if a 50 year old woman committing double-murder over a car might be pretty rare?? Very sad for this couple to pass in that manner.

Through the year 2022, Williams was detained 24 times in Ohio on charges ranging from misdemeanors to crimes, such as felony assault, criminal trespassing, theft, robbery, receiving stolen goods, and domestic abuse. In South Carolina, she was detained twice in 2016 on suspicion of grand larceny. Her lawsuit is still ongoing in South Carolina.

heartbreaking, they had been married 58 years, enjoying their retirement only for this horrific attack to end their lives, sometimes it is so easy to just despair at the times we are living in

Why would security not call for police backup after encountering her multiple times? Security would have recognized her as a resident if she was legit.

Snip:
According to reports, on December 30 at around 3 pm, a "suspicious woman" was led from the grounds of Lakeside of Waterman Village. A security camera at the back of the complex caught the same woman again around an hour later. Police said that the woman entered the property a third time at about 10:58 pm through the large tower at the complex's entrance. At that point, she knocked on a door and requested to use a tenant's shower. Security and police didn't react until a terrified resident pressed her alarm. However, by that time, the woman had fled the scene.

Later, the suspicious lady returned to the property of the elderly couple five times until security asked her to leave at 2:12 am on December 31. The couple was discovered dead by Mount Dora police at around 4 o'clock.

She seemed to just be escorted off premises not arrested for trespassing, I would have thought security at a retirement community would have called 911 after she kept returning, but hindsight is a wonderful thing, and they probably just thought she was a nuisance,

I am surprised that she was not in prison after all her arrests and charges,

Lower functioning lawbreakers are repeatedly deferred into a "diversion program" for mental health treatment as opposed to incarceration. Chances are she has been on and off multiple medications, self medicates with street drugs, and is well known to the authorities and county mental health facilities where she comes from. She probably presents as nonthreatening or even friendly until she is triggered. There is history there, this kind of psychosis has been brewing for some time.
Also - That security company is worse than having no one. Which company had the contract? They might face a lawsuit. At the very least, they should have called a supervisor for backup when Vickie kept lurking around. The HOA or the family might have a case.

Nothing new in more than a year. Thanks payroll nerd, for the court records. I vote NO for a plea deal. She should never walk free again.

Good that she's getting a competency review. Probably long overdue with her history.

She needs to be committed forever. I don't know there is a drug that would help her remain healthy. She is a danger to herself and others.

From May 24: Williams ruled incompetent.
LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – The woman charged in the deaths of a Mount Dora couple at their apartment in a senior living community back in 2022 has been ruled incompetent to stand trial, according to newly released court documents.

An order filed on Monday shows that the woman — Vickie Lynn Williams, 51 — was seen by a doctor earlier this month, and he determined that Williams was “in urgent need of psychiatric hospitalization and treatment.”

Low functioning or mentally ill, they go through a diversion program because the jails don't offer treatment. Once "stable" on meds, they are back on the street. The system is a mess.
