Still suspect that these two boys were either groomed by someone or got caught in the middle of criminal activity.

Whose truck were they unloading? Were the parents even told? I know things were laxer back in the 80s, but I suspect these boys may have came from an unstable home, supported by the fact the families took so long to report them missing.

As an alternative to foul play, is it possible they were travelling in a truck and it drove into a river?

Is there any update regarding Ascension Parish John Doe and Ceinon? It's the most plausible match for him that I've seen.

Do we know how long the boys were supposed to be gone for? Maybe they were taking a job to unload trucks that was supposed to last for a couple of weeks and thats why it took so long to report them missing.

I think in this case they went with someone who took them, like a truck driver... being minors, they were taken advantage of... otherwise, how could they assume they went to northern Florida? Maybe they've spoken to someone about it before...
