Missing Person: Diane Mcinnis
Missing Date: April 6, 2020
Missing Location: Homosassa, Florida
Missing Age: 75 years old

Diane Mcinnis was last seen around 10 p.m. on Monday, April 6th, 2020. She is believed to have left on foot from her home in the area of West Finch Court in Homosassa.

It is unknown what she was last seen wearing or which direction she was traveling.

Search continues for missing Homosassa woman; note recovered


**CCSO doesn’t suspect foul play during its investigation, and Mcinnis isn’t known to have symptoms of dementia or Alzheimer's.

Cynthia Henderson, president and founder of the Female Veterans Network of Citrus County, said she’s been a friend of Mcinnis for at least 10 years.

CCSO deputies questioned Henderson, she said, about a note Mcinnis left a on her bed at the time of disappearance.

Henderson said the note mentioned Mcinnis’ aggravation over an infestation of rats that plagued her home after it caught fire roughly a year ago.

Mcinnis left without money, ID, keys, medications or other personal effects.

Henderson said, adding Mcinnis’ note told people not to look for her.

She looks totally different in that photo. Glad you shared that one! There are a few comments that may explain what contributed partly to her change in appearance (weight loss).

75-year-old Citrus County woman found alive in ravine 9 days after going missing

Praise God she was found!
She had someone looking out for her!

While Sgt. Callahan performed a traffic stop in front of the Homosassa Walmart early Thursday morning, two of the store's employees approached him and described hearing strange noises coming from behind the building.

After clearing his stop, Callahan went to inspect the area and heard the faint sounds of a woman's voice.

That's when he found Mcinnis in a five-foot ravine and called for emergency medical services.

I just read this info on the Citrus County Sheriff's FB page. I am so glad those people notified the LEO, and that the LEO went to investigate. Diane is a very lucky woman to be found, as so many seniors wander off, never to be found. This truly was a success story, and it made me very happy.
