DUI manslaughter arrest made in Jacksonville teacher and baby's deaths as pedestrians
Bayview Elementary teacher Mitchell Patch and baby son Everett were hit and killed while crossing Baymeadows Road in May. Now an arrest has been made.

Mitchell Patch, 34, was leaving the Wicked Barley Brewing Co. carrying son Everett while attempting to cross Baymeadows Road at about 8:30 p.m. on May 16 when they were struck by a Honda Civic, according to the Sheriff's Office. They were killed and the driver, 24-year-old Logan Fletcher Park, was transported to a hospital where his blood-alcohol level was drawn. The results showed a level of .107, well above the legal limit of .08 to drive in Florida.
