Ok here are some questions:

Why wasn't he back in Pensacola? October 28th is well into Fall semester and for those of you that don't know Florida, Belle Glade is some 600 miles from there...not exactly around the corner.

Is the Cutler Bay address that was discovered in 2014 where he was living with an Uncle? Cutler Bay is in southern Miami Dade. If it was, why did it take until 2014 to discover this? If it wasn't then you mean to tell me a 21 year old college student working at a supermarket had an address that no one new about? By the way, it's a 3/2 single family home that was on the newer side in 1995.

Now, to get to what I dread to type, he's missing along with a vehicle in South Florida....we know that probably means he and said vehicle are submerged in a body of water somewhere. U.S. 27 from Belle Glade to Miami (or anywhere else) is very very rural. A whole lot of nothing. Plenty of canals, lakes, ponds etc.

He was driving a practically new car at the time so someone could have done something nefarious to acquire it from him I suppose but water seems more likely.

The property is linked to Felton Forbes since 1988. In 2001 Edgar is listed in an unclaimed property list as living at that same address.
The news article reporting his disappearance dated Nov 1, 1995, stated that Edgar lived with his uncle in Miami.
This adds no new info and it doesn't answer your first question - It only reinforces the second.

Was the Cutler Bay address believed to be used by him at the time of disappearance or afterwards? My map suggests that Cutler Bay is 91 miles from Belle Glade.

The family seem to be close knit, not many uncles would buy a car for their nephew. I wonder if Edgar had been in contact with any family in the Bahamas. I wonder if he returned there. Would the Caribbean Law Enforcement work with Florida Law Enforcement?

Well he definitely needed one (car) considering he was living and working (I think) in Cutler Bay, school in Pensacola and mom in Belle Glade. All of these places are pretty good drives from one another. I tend to doubt that he was in school considering late October is well into fall semester. I emphasize this because I think we can eliminate him heading to Pensacola, unless he had other reasons besides school to go up there. The bad news is that there are endless possibilities of bodies of water he could have ended up in from Belle Glade to Cutler Bay.
