After nearly a week on the run, former NFL player Zac Stacy is in jail this morning. He was arrested overnight by Orlando police.
A statement from Orlando police reads: "The Orlando Police Department received information that NFL Player, Zac Stacy, wanted out of Orange County/ City of Oakland for Aggravated Battery in a Domestic Violence case was arriving at the Orlando International Airport. Our officers made contact with Stacy as he exited an inbound flight from Nashville and placed him in custody. Stacy was transported to the Orange County Jail without incident."

That is absolutely horrendous! I hope he gets The help he needs to change his entire mindset. Unfortunately, they rarely ever change. She seems like she understands that he is going to eventually kill her if she stays around. Having a child with someone makes this very difficult but doable and I hope she is able to stay safe!

I’d say this was not the first time, she was expecting it to continue and to eventually lead to her death.

In a statement to CNN, Evans says, "Thank you for supporting my children and me during this difficult time. Our safety is the number one concern right now. After a terrifying experience, I am grateful that Zac Stacy is currently in police custody. At present, I have filed a restraining order and plan on filing a civil complaint. I am sincerely asking the NFL and football commissioner Roger Goodell to confront the reality that players are experiencing PTSD from their time playing pro-football. In particular, as linked to repeated concussions, brain injury, and other bodily trauma, as it causes symptomatic changes to the players' character, including increased irritability, angry outbursts, and aggressive behavior."

I'm curious how a camera happened to be there right when it took place - makes me wonder if she knew something would happen and purposely had a camera hidden there.

If the camera wasn’t there, she’d surely face skepticism and even accusations of being a “gold digger.” She may have purposefully set a camera there anticipating that she wouldn’t be believed, but many infant monitors & home security systems have recording capabilities. JMO.

Yes, I have seen on the comments sections of news sites showing this video and people (mainly men, but not all) are saying 'show us the whole video and what she did to make him do this." As if someone can 'make' someone bash them.

Egged him on? If you have a verbal dispute with your partner and she or he "eggs you on" you walk out. Take a walk. Cool off. None of that "see what you made me do" stuff.

He'd eventually kill her. He could have easily hurt that baby somehow or blind any of the three of them.

Hoping they all get the help they need.

It's more and more common in recent years. People have cameras inside their homes. Some for security, some to check in on what pets are up to while they're gone, most IMO are installed by jealous or controlling partners who want to catch a partner cheating or gain that added measure of control over another, or finally, to gather evidence when at the end of a DV road, when contemplating leaving and feeling like evidence will be needed.

It's darn lucky it was there and is evidence now.
