And please do not get me started about the Disney abductions.

I assume you mean Beauty's abduction by the Beast. And Cruella De Ville and all those poor little puppies...

Okay, I watched the video and I'm with Tigger on this one. It really looked like an accident to me - I doubt he can see well out of that big head.

So are you saying that if one Tigger acted inappropriately, then they are all suspect? Sorta like if one department store Santa was a little too friendly, I guess they all should be scrutinized? Or maybe there is just ONE Santa, and his just magically appears everywhere simultaneously?
NO, I am saying that Disney has a history of hiding anything "undisneyish"

Disney has to protect their image. ( and they do so very very well )
Amazing to me is that upon my post a few defended them...

Nova, I mean NO such thing.... I mean children abducted from Disney.
I mean little girls walk into a bathroom and then abducted.

Eve, I actually KNOW a family that this has happend to. The girl went to the restroom... Was taken and shaved and dressed like a boy ..
I think since then Disney parks have indentity bracelets.

I'm glad I'm not the only one on Tigger's side!

I saw the family interviewed this morning on some show. The son couldn't answer questions straight, probably because he himself knew this was much bigger than it should be.

The father said he took his son "immediately" to the hospital when his son later complained of neck pain. The kid's glasses didn't even fall off! Some hit.

I'd love to know if the father has a history of other ridiculous claims.

:loser:

His neck probably hurt from his dad grabbing it and puppeteering his child into the hospital.

I thought maybe his neck hurt from the Teacup ride.

In the video link, the father actually says the boys name, in a stop that so and so, sort of way right before the "assault".. so obviously he knew the child was doing something wrong.

ISPTRAX,

Thanks for the link. I'm with Tigger on this one too. It looks more like he was just reaching around to stop this stupid kid from trying to open the suit. I don't think he even thought he'd hit the kid. I'd be annoyed if my child was watching and saw it was just a costume so I'm sure these Disney characters are careful to keep curious kids away from their zippers.

We got our wallet stolen last time we were at Disneyland but I blame ourselves for getting careless. I don't let my little girl use public bathrooms alone, not even Disneyland. They can't read minds so I don't doubt for a second there are going to be a few bad guests and employees.

We're going again this spring. The kids ages will be 10, 14 and 16. I'll be sure to have a chat with the two older boys!!! No tugging on the characters zippers. :D My 10 year old is a little angel.

Its stilll amazing to me the predispostioned notion to defend "mickey mouse".

No kidding hey? All those rides... and this kid gets neck pain from a fluffy paw pat to the head? What a shameful thing to teach his children.

Paladin, he's the pain in the neck the way I see it.

It still amazes me to see the predispositioned notion that the whiners of the world are always a victim of something.

This guy is a pathetic example crying wolf when there is no wolf in sight...er should I have said tigger? :)

Amraann, to me this guy's home video proves that Tigger reacted to something the teen was doing. Yeah, maybe Tigger over-reacted and should have just moved away. Had that been a girl/woman (I'm assuming it's a male) in the Tigger costume you can bet that's what would have happened, instead of a half-hearted left punch to the kids face.

That bratty teen would probably be in trouble for trying to unzip Tigger if a female was in the costume.

I don't see how any of my comments suggest that I'm automatically defending the mouse.

I despise Disneyworld...we never went when I was growing up and I never cared to nor do I now. Theme parks overrun with little kids and the heat are NOT my idea of a vacation. Something like "Sandals" is my idea of a vacation. I begrudgingly went to DW several years ago with dh and another couple. Dh thinks DW is the greatest. So I went and just like I knew I would, did not care for it and have zero desire to go back. Now that we're about to have a baby, dh tells me all the time that we're going to take our kid to DW one day. I told him I'd go and take a few novels with me and hang out at the hotel pool; if he thinks the place is so great, he can drag our kid around in the heat til he's good and cranky, just leave me out of it.

Having said that, I am totally with Tigger on this. I saw the idiot father on some tab t.v. show a few hours ago. Exaggerating and "drama queen" don't even begin to describe how he was carrying on.

Amraann, have you ever read this? It's very interesting reading IMO.

Any time I've been to WDW there is a "handler" close by any of the characters so they can help the character if anybody gets out of hand. I'm curious to know if there was another staff member near-by to help Tigger?

From what I saw of the video, the boy was trying to bother Tigger and Tigger reacted. This boy is old enough to know exactly what he was doing and that he was out of line. The father IMO turned his back to a chance to actually "parent" his child, becoming blinded by seeing dollar signs coming his way from Disney.
The 1 interview I saw this morning with the father and son, the son pretty much hung his head listening to his father spouting off.

Shopper,

We like all kinds of vacations, Disney is just one part of it and the kids have a blast. We go in the spring so it isn't usually too hot.

The kids enjoy beach holidays as well. Bondi beach in Australia has some topless tanners so the next time we go our son will be a bit older and I'm sure even more happy for a beach holiday (not just the boarding  )

We love camping too.

BTW hows the pregnancy going?

TY for the link ...
Although I think my point was missed a tad...

Maybe this Tigger was a wonderful bouncy flouncy trouncy one....

My point was that Disney has great PR and that things are not always as they portray in the Media.

Wow. What an eye-opening post. If you still can file a report, I encourage you to do so. Even if your reporting of an incidence goes nowhere, at least the report will be on file for the next infraction. I guarantee that there will be one.

DW just wore me out, and that was almost 10 years ago. Is it never not crowded? It's just not for me but I don't begrudge anyone else that likes it and wants to go. But we do love to camp and we also like the beach so I know we can find other alternatives. Like I said, I'll go to DW on the condition that I don't have to be "involved" the entire time.

The pregnancy is almost over  LOL!!! I'm due the 29th but can't imagine another 3 weeks. But I went to the dr. today and he rammed his fist up my vajayjay (that's what it felt like) and said I'm "still thick" (sorry to any guys reading this). So even though I feel like I'm about to pop, I guess I'm not. I'm taking it easy and just trying to not stress out about labor.
