DW just wore me out, and that was almost 10 years ago. Is it never not crowded? It's just not for me but I don't begrudge anyone else that likes it and wants to go. But we do love to camp and we also like the beach so I know we can find other alternatives. Like I said, I'll go to DW on the condition that I don't have to be "involved" the entire time.

The pregnancy is almost over :dance: LOL!!! I'm due the 29th but can't imagine another 3 weeks. But I went to the dr. today and he rammed his fist up my vajayjay (that's what it felt like) and said I'm "still thick" (sorry to any guys reading this). So even though I feel like I'm about to pop, I guess I'm not. I'm taking it easy and just trying to not stress out about labor.

Please do not let the hubby/ father / lover whaterver take that poor child to DW before the age of 5.
people have high expectations when they take young children there.
Most often it turns into a toddler tantrum due to being overwhelmed by the place.

They manage an illusion very well.
I do not know about Disney Land (Cali) but Disney World (FL) is a huge huge place and to imagine that no crime ever goes on there is just welll ..... an illusion.

I'll be sure to tell dh that, about not going for several years. I totally agree, it's worse than dragging them all over the mall trying to cram in a lot of shopping in one day. And with the amount of money and time spent to get there, it's not worth it to take a poor kid that can't keep up.

No problem. I know the difference. (Raised in Florida; went to DW within a few days of its opening. Lived in California now for over 20 years.)

I've taken brother, sister, children, grandchildren, niece and nephew to both parks over the years. Personally, I'd rather have root canal surgery. (Though we had a GREAT time with our daughter when she was in her mid-teens. It was almost closing time and there were NO lines at the small, old rides. We did "Peter Pan," "Mr. Toad," etc., one after another, laughing our heads off.)

Disney hasn't been as able to control the CA press of late, so more has got out. Included: various assaults, a couple of accidental deaths, etc.

I would no more relax my supervision of children at either park than I would in downtown LA or NYC.

It looks to me like the Disney employee was attacked aggressively by the teen. I think the employee should file a police report for the attack. Visitors to the theme park resort have no right to touch a performer in an aggressive manner.

My sister worked for Disney sooo we got in for free for many years. We did the slow "we can come back anytime" approach. Which made it almost fun.
I cannot imagine paying to get in and rushing around to see it all.
The Tower of Terror was fun!!
My fav is the Animal Kingdom ...... (and epcot, of course!) *note after a day of toddlers your own or others over done by the myth of Disney Epcot lets you drink around the world...

These lawsuits are crazy. I believe if there were some way to come back and get money from these people (the ones who file these lawsuits), we'd see less and less of these filed. Right now anyone can sue anyone for anything. It doesn't matter if it's legitimate or not. If people knew they'd have to cough up $$$ (for the attorney fees of those that they falsely accused), maybe they'd think twice before looking to win the Lawsuit Lottery.

You can tell by the way the kid is dressed he is a troublemaker. I have yet to meet anyone who wears gloves like that to be otherwise, lol. Yeah, yeah, book by it's cover, etc.

I worked at our local amusement park for two summers, crowd control is one of the hardest parts, and yes, parents thought their kids could do no wrong. I had no qualms throwing people out, or threatening to follow them out into the parking lot if need be. But I wasn't dressed as Tigger, either, lol.

That arm was 'up' to something. Undoing the zip at the back or some such sillyness IMO. Kid looks like he bit off more than he expected and I do not believe Tigger hehit him hard at all. It is all overblown by the family and media. While I do not justify hitting anyone I think all is not what it is being portrayed as. They look to be messing around in fun. Well, maybe I am not seeing it right or smething. Could the daddy be after a free holiday next year?

Wow. What an eye-opening post. If you still can file a report, I encourage you to do so. Even if your reporting of an incidence goes nowhere, at least the report will be on file for the next infraction. I guarantee that there will be one.

I know I got a little OT but all these people remind me of one another. It isn't easy to work around kids these days, because of their parents and what their parents have produced, as offspring. Maybe if I wore a Tigger suit I would have some extra padding, at least. Or maybe I would command more respect! Then again, maybe I should just change professions, but I assure you, I won't be "going to Disneyworld" to do so!

The whole Disney thing is not for everyone and if your hubby wants to take your child then let him and enjoy your books at the side of the pool. (trust me you'll deseve your rest )

I went the no pain meds route with my two kids and I look back now and think WHY! :doh: So if you can have an epidural take it!

Does anyone know of any local updates? I last heard Tigger was fired?

I'm glad to see the Disney employee has not been fired and has some support from his union. The father said "gimme a break" when asked if he would sue for money, I guess he knows he would sound like a schmuck if he didn't deny it but I don't doubt he'll be looking for some type of compensation.
