GUILTY FL - Felecia Williams, 9, raped & murdered, Temple Terrace, 16 May 2014

Hate to say this, but maybe Felicia was to be part of the drinking, drugging & having sex. :( Sick as it sounds, I think that was part of the plan, all along.

I'm think along those same lines. :( I wonder how long Eboni knew Granville and when Eboni made "friends" with Felecia. It sounds like it was all fairly recent. Was that "friendship" made to start grooming her for Granville's pleasure? Yuck, I hate saying that so I won't type any more, but I hope ya'll get what I mean.

Agree. My thoughts all along, even before Granville was named as a suspect, were that Felecia was "being procured" for something, involving drugs and pedophilia.

It is just heartbreaking. She was a beautiful little girl who should be alive today, looking forward to summer vacation.

I have wondered if Eboni was trying to hang onto her boyfriend and this was his idea. In order to hang on to him, she agreed. I live in the town where Susan Smith ran her sons into the lake strapped into car seats. She lied and lied about it. Her boyfriend was done with her because he didn't want kids. He didn't plan for her to get rid of her kids! Just goes to show people will do bad things for bad reasons.

It is my belief that this would be his idea, however, what possible "good" reason would this man have for wanting EW to form a friendship with 9 y/o Felecia or lure her out of her house that day? EW would have to be in a very pathetic state not to even question "why?". It is a vast difference, in my opinion, from a man telling his girlfriend he doesn't want kids and her going out and murdering them in order to be with him. Granted, neither woman may be able to take being rejected by a man, but in this case for a man to want a 9 y/o child there are no good reasons so it should have sent an alarm to EW...unless she was just as involved in the crime as he was.

I just think some women can be so in need of a man, that they will do what they have to, to make them hang around. Whether they are mentally unstable, evil, or just have no soul, is up to the observer to figure out. I don't think this woman just decided out of the blue to bring this child there. I think she was going along with this perv. Either way, she needs to be held accountable. IMO

Exactly. I do not believe she is innocent in all of this.

Bumping for Felecia

This case reminds me of the Victoria (Tory) Stafford case. Horrible to think a woman would assist in something so despicable! :furious:

Agree, and was hoping after being absent since Sunday, I would come here and find an arrest has been made.

Poor sweet Felecia...

I hope this judge will will use some common sense and lock this man away. How do they think Felecia was transported to where she was found? Maybe it was the same car that was used to pick her up from home and there would be a reason her DNA would be in it. I'm not understanding this.

No bond for man considered suspect in child's murder

The man considered the main suspect in the murder of 9-year-old Felecia Williams will remain in jail for now.

Granville Ritchie, 35, has not been charged in the death of Williams. His hearing today was for unrelated drug and sex charges.

Prosecutors argued that Ritchie was out on bond and reoffended and should be held with no bond.

http://tbo.com/news/crime/most-charges-dropped-against-suspect-in-tampa-girls-death-20140627/

Prosecutors are pursuing only one of the four sex charges against Granville Ritchie, the man police say is their main suspect in the death of 9-year-old Felecia Williams.

Ritchie, 35, has not been charged in the girl’s death but has been in jail without bond since he was arrested on unrelated drug charges and four counts of having sex with a minor on May 21.

In a motion filed earlier this month, Ritchie’s defense lawyer, Thomas Maiello, argued that the sex charges stem from an illegal search of Ritchie’s cellphone after an arrest on a separate charge. Investigators did not obtain a search warrant before looking through the information on the phone, according to the filing.

From your link:
There are still no charges filed in the case.
Ritchie's attorney filed a motion questioning the underage sex charge. The attorney claims police searched Ritchie's cell phone without a warrant and that led to finding evidence he had sex with a 17-year-old girl.
Sounds like that charge involving the 17 yr old may get dropped today?
