After watching that, I know now why people need to take a break from WS sometimes. The pain that she is obviously experiencing is unimaginable, even hard to just watch. Felicia isn't just a name on a page, but a person, a daughter, a sister a niece, a friend.....

Ritchie made his first court appearance on the new charges Saturday and was represented by a public defender. There was no expectation that he would be given bond, and he wasn't.

He'll be back in court at least once next week, authorities said.

Thank you Popsicle for the update. I can't imagine Felecia Demerson's agonizing pain and grief. It appears what was witnessed was just her physical reaction to hearing the news once more as it was released to the public. Bless her, and bless her baby girl!

Oh, I am so relieved that she was told, in private, beforehand. Thanks for posting this additional info.
ETA: I am so sorry for mixing the names up in my previous posts. Just to be clear, Felicia(with an I) is the little girl and Felecia(with an E) is the girl's momma. Did I get it right? It doesn't take much to confuse me these days. :blushing:

Granville Ritchie, the man accused of murdering a 9-year-old girl and dumping her body in Tampa Bay, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of first degree murder, sexual battery, and aggravated child abuse.

Ritchie, 35, who appeared in court briefly, pleaded not guilty to the charges. His arraignment set in motion a case that has been months in the making...

Though Ritchie has been formally charged and indicted by a grand jury, Hillsborough State Attorney's Office officials took the unusual step of persuading a judge to seal the search warrants in the case... "What's most likely is that there's another suspect or a conspirator they're investigating," Cameron said, "and so they want to protect that information from being released."
