Clem Beauchamp still faces three potential death sentences if convicted of murdering two children found in a Delray Beach canal and their mother. But on Tuesday he pleaded guilty to two unrelated drug crimes from April 2010.

Palm Beach County Circuit Judge John Kastrenakes sentenced Beauchamp, 37, to three years in prison, approving a deal worked out between prosecutors and the defendant's attorneys...

A trial on the murder charges has not yet been scheduled. The next court date is Jan. 16, to check the status of trial preparations.

It is has been an exercise of trying to excavate any news on the progress (or lack) on this horrifying case....talk about stretching things out !!!

Clearly it is going to be a logistical nightmare with the murder of the mother fact finding vs that of the later murders of the children - an unenviable task for the prosecution.

October has been set aside for the four week trial.
If found guilty it will be another week to decide whether he receives lethal injection
