Seems Beauchamp has a new court date of April 4 as he needs time to find a lawyer for his gun charges.

Note from the above link indicates that Beauchamp is concerned for the welfare of the children who were removed from Dent's custody. His relatives indicate that he was a good parent.

Still no charges or arrests have been announced by LE for the deaths of the two children and FB

Florida agency defends its work after children found in canal

Caseworkers monitored the family for nine months before full custody of her son was returned to Brown in November 2008.

**** Didn't they say they hadn't been involved with the family for something like 5 years ?

Jennifer Gardner, who represented Jermaine's interests during the process, said Brown was living with a different man with no criminal background and was in a "stable relationship" at the time her children were returned.

**** I thought she was threatened with a knife by Beauchamp's girlfriend before the adoption was finalized ?

Delray child deaths: Someone at suspect's house searched online for children's life insurance

Clem Beauchamp, 34, will not be on trial for murder. Rather, he faces federal charges of illegally possessing a handgun and homemade silencer that could put him in prison for up to 30 years.

That trial starts Monday. 01 Aug 2011 if I'm not mistaken.

(article from 09/23)

WEST PALM BEACH — A grand jury on Thursday returned three first-degree murder indictments against Clem Beauchamp, the man authorities had suspected since March of killing his former girlfriend and murdering her two children seven months later.

Prosecutors immediately announced they would seek the death penalty against Beauchamp, 34, who authorities have been able to keep in custody without bail for the past six months on a federal weapons charge. Beauchamp's former girlfriend, 25-year-old Felicia Brown, had agreed to become a government witness against him in that case shortly before she disappeared in August 2010.

Beauchamp sentenced to 10 years in prison; judge cites murder of girlfriend and her 2 children

U.S. District Judge William Dimitrouleas made the finding to justify his decision to sentence the 34-year-old Delray Beach man to a maximum 10-year prison sentence on a charge of possessing an unregistered silencer. The sentence is more than twice as long as the four years Beauchamp could have gotten had Dimitrouleas rejected claims that he planned to use a gun he outfitted with a silencer to kill Michelle Dent - the mother of his two children.

I keep looking for updates. Tonight this one came up -- a man who had been foster father to the son had received four phone calls from Jermaine just prior to his death -- pleading for help because the kids had been locked out of the house and had not seen the mom for some time. The foster dad says he's been haunted by those phone calls.

http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/20...0110729_1_ju-tyra-clem-beauchamp-murder-trial

"Jermaine McNeil's former foster father said the frightened boy called him four times in the months before his death, saying he and his little sister were locked in a house and had not seen their mother for weeks.
"I know Clem knew that Jermaine was telling me what was going on," Rodney Napper said.
A suburban Chicago teacher, Napper, 42, raised Jermaine as his own son between 2006 and 2007 until he was ordered to return the then 7-year-old boy to Florida because "the adoption was not finalized," according to the Department of Children and Families."

He said he has met Clem and attended the memorial services. He plans to attend the murder trial.
