Of the 20 babies that have died in Northeast Florida since the beginning of 2016, 17 deaths were caused by unsafe sleeping environments.

31 babies died from unsafe sleeping conditions in 2015.
At our hospital, we tell Moms all the time not to do this and they still do it. :notgood: :maddening:

This is my theory of what happened to Baby Irwin. I have a theory that mom fell asleep and suffocated her by accident and then got a friend to dispose of the body for her. If I remember the story I think she had done an interview and admitted to drinking a box of wine that day and my theory is she was so drunk that she passed out and rolled over on the child suffocating it.
