Scary, they only turned themselves in because they saw their pictures on TV at a convenience store, otherwise who knows how the story would have ended.

Two Florida girls who stole a car and drove 400 miles to meet somebody they'd met online are back at home.

12-year-old girl in Florida allegedly took her father’s car, picked up her 14-year-old friend and hit the road in an attempt to meet a predator they had been talking to online, according to officials.

Not sure I'm believing this one. But, if true, the 12 yo may need to be grounded until she can legally drive!

What a close call.
Hoping, and wondering a bit, if these girls have learned a lesson. Hoping so.
Now their parents/caregivers will have to deal with this near-horror. SMH.
