This person was small but had big feet??? How strange. Maybe there’s a natural explanation.

4’ 11” tall but size 8 shoes found next to the body.

The vehicle belonged to the homeowner who stated the vehicle has not moved in over a year, as the battery was dead.

Well, he said that but....a dead battery is easily replaced. No biggie. I hope LE checked it.

Per the family, they had a recent Fourth of July party and stated they thought the foul smell was coming from the trash.

Oh please. They actually said that?!
If the body was skeletonized, then it had been in there for quite a while, much longer than July, and I'm sure would have started to smell much sooner than their 4th of July party.
The smell would have been noticeable for weeks. With delicacy, I mention there would have been bacteria, flies, maggots....the Florida humidity and heat would have helped that.

Also, strange that no-one at their party noticed the smell or the dead body. How odd.

I'm not saying the car/homeowner is necessarily guilty..... but the excuses are just totally crazy.

Article from October 2021:

The woman's body was found July 9 in a vehicle on North 15th Street

FORT PIERCE — The case of the decomposing body of a woman found in a vehicle in July does not appear to be a homicide, but police said much about the case remains unknown.

Fort Pierce police about 6:04 p.m. July 9 went to an address on North 15th Street north of Orange Avenue where they saw a gold vehicle, which was locked, in the driveway.

A strong smell came from the vehicle, and condensation on the windshield and driver/passenger windows made it difficult to see inside, according to a report.

A woman who said the vehicle was hers said it wasn’t working and had been there more than a year.

“She stated that they (her and her family) began smelling a strong odor for the last month or so, however, assumed it was due to the large amount of seafood consumed by the family,” a report states. “This last week, the smell worsened which caused their curiosity.”
[...]
We have not identified the person as of yet,” Donnon said. “What we do know is there was no trauma located to the body.”

Donnon said it appears the woman may have been sleeping in the vehicle, which had not been used in some time.

Good grief! There's so many ways this could go: overdose, dementia patient wandering (and perhaps someone with no close relatives), homeless and medically fragile...

This makes absolutely no sense. How do you not see a body in your car when a guy walking his dog glanced over and did? How do you put up with the smell even if you think it's coming from trash? An entire party never saw the body? Something fishy is going on here..

I agree! No sign of foul play? I see a lot of reasons to investigate further.

If the person went into the car of her own accord, she apparently locked the door. Was she running/ hiding from someone?

Why was her bra on the floor and top on the seat beside her? Maybe she kicked off her shoes but most women wouldn't just sit there naked from the waist up. Maybe someone found her there before she was decomposed and removed the clothes?

A decomposing body found in 2021 in a vehicle at a home on North 15th Street was identified earlier this year as Susan Nettles, officials said.
[…]
According to a medical examiner report signed by Associate Medical Examiner Adrienne Sauder, Nettles’ cause of death is undetermined. The manner of death also could not be determined. Toxicology testing showed ethanol and cocaine metabolites.
