This story is horrendous. It was Frank Ordonez’ first day on the job as a fully trained UPS driver and he was hijacked, taken hostage & then murdered in a shoot out. And he leaves a young child behind.....can it get any worse?

Photo of the other victim, innocent bystander Richard Cutshaw. We haven’t heard the end of this....there were so many innocent people stuck in traffic during this shootout. It’s a miracle more weren’t hurt or killed.

“Alex Melo, a witness, told ABC News he has been "nervous beyond belief" since seeing the incident unfold.”

"You have chills in your body seeing the scene. … It's not something, an ordeal, you live through on a daily basis," Melo said Friday morning.”

“Melo was in a car with Sheila Cabrera when the two said they were stuck in an intersection of the highway in Miramar as the shootout erupted during rush hour Thursday afternoon.”

“As the shootout broke out, Cabrera said she and Melo "could not move" from their car.“

Hijacked UPS truck led Florida police on a massive chase that ended in a fatal shootout

The incident came to an end when the truck encountered stopped traffic at an intersection. Police exited their vehicles and approached the truck, weapons drawn, even using bystanders' cars as moving shields so they could get in better position.
