Missing Adult

Please help us locate the pictured missing adult, Freddie Van Valkenberg (7/25/1962) of Port Charlotte.

He was last seen leaving his residence on Baer Ave. on foot on Saturday, November 29. He is believed to have been wearing a hat, sunglasses, green jacket, blue shirt, and black pants.

Vanvalkenburg does not live with Dylan and his family; he lives with his wife, who allegedly did not file a missing person report.

Investigators say the man’s phone, wallet, car and keys were all left at his home, along with a note. Dylan describes this as suspicious and out of character for their father.

His wife not filing a missing report is certainly odd. Either he had a habit of disapearring or she wasn't concerned about the situation for personal reasons.

I think if it was a note threatening self harm or harm to others LE would have had him as "endangered" and wouldn't have instructed people to call the NON emergency number if spotted.

I always put a link to the official website when citing court records which is protocol here at Websleuths (everything posted should be backed up by a reputable source unless being stated as one's personal opinion only). The link was in blue and said "Search" - if you clicked it on it would take you to the website. It's the official website for Charlotte Co. Florida and is maintained by the County Comptroller. Not all counties in US states have court records searchable for free online (some require a formal request or visit to the courthouse, or payment of a fee) , but all counties today maintain a website of available court records.

In any event, it was a traffic infraction from 10+years ago and I cited it only to verify the correct spelling of the missing man's name, as there was some question as to the proper spelling.
