As mentour lawyer said at weekend and just confirmed by Joel on STS, 'business man' juror was an alternate

@Blue Shakehead that's the same person

Would LOVE to know if the weird juror who seemed to Georgia throughout the trial and was open to Rash's arguments is an alternate.
STS just confirmed he was. Apparently he has left the room. Hope nobody gets sick. Or fired.

I give Georgia an A+ on her opening statement and a C+ on her rebuttal. Both are enough to carry to a guilty verdict.

Question - will there be trial (jury deliberations) tomorrow? I ask as it is Election day.
TIA! :)

State of Florida employees don't get election day off; not sure why jurors would.

If rashbum really wanted to get chuckles off I'm pretty sure the last thing he should have mentioned is "use your common sense"

Anyone with a lick of common sense could see right through his defense I'm afraid.

First, the idea of Rashburn "getting chuckles off" is a hilarious double entendre as well as a hideous mental image. Second, "common sense" is a notoriously slippery term. Basically everyone thinks their viewpoint is "common sense".

He actually did sound like his voice was breaking
That's because he's afraid of what Donna will do if Charlie is convicted, he's going to have to deal with her wrath.

Isn't Florida kind of notorious for keeping juries until late into the night anyway?

I would say "No," Niner. Good question!
ETA: I looked it up. They are open tomorrow, but closed this Friday, the 10th of November -- Veteran's Day.

Nice shout-out for Ky bourbon ;)

Bulleit Distillery in Ky loosely tied to this case.
And, Willett Distillery in Ky loosely tied to Manson case. (added for trivia buffs)
Interesting! Thank you very much!

STS Tim Janssen said that jurors - during Rash's closing - were folding their arms and that one was cleaning their glasses

Joel W on STS says that during closing Charlie tried to interrupt Rashbaum by passing him a note and Rashbaum shrugged him off

Can we get a verdict before 5pm today? I mean a guilty verdict before 5pm today?

YES!!! Let's DO IT!

Uh, Oh! Just looked at the poll -- dropped from 85% down to 76% -- but still good enough!

Georgia must always be working! She's gotta be exhausted. Now she's got to wait in her office or be within 10 minutes of the courthouse for a verdict. One time I was just watching a random youtube trial and I heard a voice I recognized. Then I realized it was the same prosecutor from the Dan Markel trials who I now know as GC.
