This is wild. Who is Gary?
Gary Cohen is their lawyer friend who was going to give Wendi a job in Miami so she could move down. He was on the witness list at trial but they didn’t call him.

While I’m thinking about it, I wonder why LE didn’t choose to tap Wendi and Harvey’s phone? Seems odd given the circumstances.

May not have been able to get a warrant. However, that may change now…

Now that DA has been indicted - is there an arraignment hearing set yet? I know she is still in Miami-Dade County - but only until 11/29 (15 days to transfer).
Thought maybe the court site might have a date.

TIA! :)

I don't think Donna will roll over on either of her children. If she's desperate to try and save Wendi, she might roll over on Charlie since he's screwed anyways.

Donna will try to stay quiet and plead the 5th.

If Charlie is feeling particularly vindictive, he might roll on Wendi. Depends on if he gets offered any prison perks, ie transfer to a nicer facility, conjugal visits, yard time, etc…maybe he’ll get to pull some rotten inmate teeth to keep his mind off the rest of the future.

Charlie will not roll over on Donna, but Wendi? I think there’s a chance. I think Charlie’s main motivation was gratifying Donna, now what’s he gonna do for Donna? Throw a “triple extortion” theory at the wall while on the stand and see if it sticks? Please.

Unless Donna stipulates they need to continue shielding Wendi, he may change his mind. How’s Harvey going to fair on his own without Donna? Maybe the old man will beg Charlie to flip on Wendi for the sake of his mother, even if it would be against Donna’s wishes.

Right now it’s too early to tell what the Adelsons are planning. I don’t think Charlie is above flipping on Wendi for his own benefit and for Donna’s. If someone has to sacrifice custody of the children to the Markels in the interest of saving Donna a sentence or two + prison perks, I doubt Charlie is above it.

Wendi could surprise all of us and flip on both her brother and her mother to save herself and Harvey if it comes down to prison time and losing custody. Donna and Charlie are screwed. I’m NAL but if I were Wendi’s I’d tell her to put herself first and accept that her mother and brother have sealed their fates. I’d tell her to prepare to negotiate with Jack and Georgia for more immunity/lesser charges/no charges at all for her and Harvey, in exchange for information on Donna. Work out shared custody with the Markels, and start talking.

Excellent analysis! I would tell her the same thing! Before Charlie flips on her! She’s already speaking to lawyers, apparently. And in my opinion, she wouldn’t be that hard to convince to put herself first. I do not believe, however, that she would ever agree to shared custody with the Markels, JMO. I don’t see that as being part of a plea agreement anyway, though. The state can’t make her share custody. If she is arrested, she will lose custody and the state will determine who gets the kids.

RSBM -

IMO, Harvey will move in with Wendi and the boys and she will care for him as he ages. The boys will go off to college in a few years and it will be just the two of them. They would likely move closer to Ocala which is where DA would end up if convicted.

Unless Charlie throws Wendi under the Prius ...

She has two subscribers.
She only had 1 subscriber last night when the video was first posted, so she picked up another overnight. It does not show who the subscribers are.

IA, I don’t think it would be part of a plea agreement but it might be a show of good faith ie an olive branch: “I’m not a total monster, please believe me, you can have the boys for the summer, I’ll talk” idk just hoping somewhere inside Wendi she’s desperate enough to try anything.

The “stock the bar party” is driving me nuts. Where is the invite? Who was the host? Why didn’t Wendi have a babysitter planned? Sure, people in FL like to drink and it wouldn’t be unusual to let your kids run around in the yard while the adults schmooze…but IMO the last thing you want to do when trying to relax over a drink with friends would be supervising two small children.

Did the cocktail party happen without Wendi? Why didn’t anyone else come forward and say “yes, we specifically asked for Bulleit bourbon, here’s the invite.”

And last…who the hell has a cocktail party on a Monday night? I’ve worked in hospitality for over a decade. Never once have I witnessed or attended a Monday night cocktail party.

The children had school the next day…Wendi was just gonna bring the boys along, drink, (or not drink but supply the bourbon?) and then drive home?

C’mon Georgia, I wanna know more…in the words of the Dixie Chicks…"Let 'er Rip”!!!

I thought Dan had the boys that week. Don't remember if the actual date of the cocktail party was Monday or if WA was just picking up the bourbon ahead of time.

There’s an invite, it was found in her car, it says to get Bulleit Bourbon, it was referenced in the trial. She might have been planning to bring the kids to the party, it was planned to start early and it was summer. (Being tired at school the next day is not a big deal for a preschooler, in the summer.) The bourbon was apparently for the couple to have at their home bar, not necessarily to drink the whole thing at the party. It wasn’t a Monday night, Dan was killed on a Friday, the party was that night.

Dan had the boys until Friday, the day he was killed, when he was supposed to give them back to Wendi. The party was that night.
