it seems like just within last few days they became aware of potential grand jury indictments and that Georgia was moving on. I think DA thought Charlie would be enough and he "took one for the team" where I think she was always the bigger fish.

DA trying to flee is just weird, unless she knew her goose was cooked no matter what. I'm sure she and Harvey have consulted attys and discussed the situation and "false allegations". With their money I'm also sure those atty's were very good too. Do you suppose an honest atty advised DA that if tried in a court of law after seeing CA's conviction, and the evidence presented that incriminated her as well, that the best she could hope for was a plea deal? She then decided to run?

In Fla they can’t take your house if you’re bankrupt or if there is a judgment against you. Not sure how this applies to a criminal case. OJ had a civil judgment and moved to Fla. Plus, if your stuff is in trust, it makes it hard for creditors to get it anyway.

in Florida there is an exclusion on having to pay a settlement against a person who claims head of household with minor children in the home. As I recall that was one of the ways OJ avoided having to pay Ron & Nicole's families. Anyone remember that ruling?

I can not fathom being SO DESPERATE that I have to flee the country! I’d rather just face the consequences honestly I think! Can you imagine living on the lam? Potentially never seeing your loved ones again? Always looking over your shoulder? Finding a safe place to live? Having a secure routine? It’s just too much for me to fathom!

I just read the arrest documents. My opinion albeit 100 percent lol: Donna is total narcissist-sociopath/psychopath; therefore, when Donna told Charlie she was thinking about (ROF!) 'suicide'..... but also 'Vietnam', Dearest Mommy was LYING: narcissist-sociopath/psychopaths don't commit suicide - all Donna really cares about is her own self - she was just doing some more of her ACTING - see, once Donna got to Vietnam, she wouldn't be able to phone Charlie anymore, so (ROF!) Donna wanted Charlie to spend the rest of his life in prison thinking, 'Oh, I'm so glad Mom didn't commit suicide in her grief over ME - Mom loved ME so, so much - Mom wanted to kill herself, but (ROF!), isn't she such a lovely Saint how she chose instead to go to Vietnam and live a sad life over there... yes, Mom has plenty of money, but Vietnam isn't Miami/Fort Lauderdale and our speedboats, etc......

Donna had ALREADY sent most of her money to overseas accounts the US would never be able to touch. I happen to know multiple people who have vacationed in very recent years in the Vietnam area, and it's NOT like Vietnam War-Viet Cong - it'd be a total RESORT SPA for Donna - her same hair care & hair dye products..... plenty of botox.... servants.... VERY low cost of living... Donna would have had a fine time...

In spite of the fact that WA changed her phone out at one stage, I believe we are going to find out that she has been under LE's surveillance and wiretap for a very long time and that the prosecution to date has only used records of her conversations that served the purpose of indicting and convicting CA and has not used even a fraction of the total recordings....Another round of those will be exposed should DA go to trial. Including exchanges that occurred after CA was arrested. Nominally that would still leave conversations unexposed that would potentially incriminate WA including those with with a portion of WA's friends and possibly even boyfriends. I would assume she has spoken to some of her legal peers without a retainer or otherwise agreement in place....

I foresee a couple of potential outcomes: DA will review discovery, find that state evidence in her trial is inculpatory to WA and seek some plea deal by which WA is not brought to trial or possibly arrested on lesser charges. That would require a considerable change in DA's personal headspace so I think its less likely.
Or DA will be her privileged, untouchable self, and a second round of evidence that implicates WA will come out at DA's trial and informs WA that there is a whole lot of information not yet publicized and that evidence will not be covered by WA's immunity agreement and will leave her and possibly HA considerably exposed.
Then we will find out where WA intends to escape to, and how she intends to benefit from the family funds, prior to any verdict in DA's trial. How the sons fit into these scenarios, I have no idea....But the Markel's should stay tuned maybe?

I can think of less suspect and much better ways to get out of the country from South Florida than going through Miami International airport, but will not be posting them. LOL
