I was pondering earlier what she must be thinking and if it is sinking in. How much could she really have enjoyed those boys, all these years, knowing that she had their father murdered. What kind of human being is this and how can her conscience not eat away at her? this case is so baffling on so many levels. I hope those boys are doing O.K.

Just thinking out loud - don't want to put a dampener on the phone topic but....

as Wendi dumped her phone sometime 2014, is it likely that Donna would stick to the same phone over 10 years?

( source for that was Lacasse - Wendi was worried it had been bugged or so she said)
Imo she just didn’t want any incoming calls or vm’s that may implicate her. Usually a phone comes up for upgrading every few years. As Millionaires, if for no other reason than they can afford to, I doubt Donna has the same phone after 10 years.

Wow! These two were lost without The Maestro. It’s good to know Charlie had friends with a conscience.
Who said the destination was the Philippines? Jack Campbell said Vietnam.

The Adelson's phoned a family friend and said the Philippines he then phoned and told the FBI.

BBM -

Not likely but if she was connected to iCloud, everything might be saved.

Ha ha! Great response.

Court TV’s prime time show “Closing Arguments” is two hours long. The Donna portion of the show was in the second half and only two segments of that. Regular viewers will know that is not much time as C-TV is shamefully laden with advertisements, strangely with advertising tilted toward C-TV itself. (Surely the best adverts for a show you are already watching is the content itself—why the heck do they waste time on annoying promos of past cases or future content you already watched or want to view???)

C-TV reported on DA’s first appearance before a judge, showing video that was not their own. This was the first time I was exposed to a YouTube channel with the name Law belle vie, as C-TV had to acknowledge the source of the video.

Relatively new to this case, I knew nothing about LBV, but I immediately admired the YouTuber who first posted the appearance of DA before whacked out “sweetie” Judge Glazer (sp?) for the clever bi-lingual pun in the name of the the channel title.

Anyone can access the Florida open court proceedings. I thought that C-TV might actually do this on their own this time, as they have made the DM case one of their current signature cases.

The fact that it is an openly available proceeding doesn’t stop C-TV from broadcasting it either live or broadcasting it soon after the fact. And C-TV made it clear that it will be via zoom (as per Tim Jensen).

Court-TV will certainly cover it, even if they have to acknowledge someone else for curating thr Zoom. If they must credit someone else’s Zoom capture that doesn’t change that fact of their second-hand reporting. It only adds heft to a conclusion that C-TV no longer has the staff or other resources to cover these things on their own.

If Donna is arraigned tomorrow there will be many ways to observe the proceedings. If you are like me and find many of the off-beat YouTubers rather annoying, I’m sure you can view the arraignment on C-TV.
At least they acknowledged her video. STS used it and never did.

Katherine Magbanua is Filipina not Thai. I don’t think this friend that told on Donna and Harvey is connected to KM but I think Charlie traveled there often so prob someone he either met in Miami or met on his travels

Anyway, these people are not sophisticated criminals. They’ve been panicking for 9 years - I would imagine there’s some relief that it’s finally happened and they’ve been arrested. Ofc they want to get away with it but they’ve had to live with the stress of ‘will they or won’t they arrest us’ for 9 years! That’s a long time! JMO

Yeah I guess it's all speculation. I'd read she was 112 pounds which is tiny for her height, but looks like that was wrong. She might do fine in prison, I know she was on anti-depressants and has IBS and meds for that. So she has some health issues. I kind of think she may just lose the will to live and fade away. She'll be 7 hours drive from her husband who is in his 80s and won't want to be doing that drive every week.... and who else is going to visit her?
He may be forced to buy that condo in Tallahassee after all.

IF those comments about suicide on her jail calls were sincere and well thought through then maybe she'll rely on suicide as her final back-pocket card after sentencing and transfer. Stressing the ' if'

I never would've predicted that she'd blab on a jail call and then get caught at an airport after his conviction.
( If somebody had reported August 2023 that Harvey & Donna were already ensconced in a Cuban villa on an extended ' holiday' in advance of Charlie's trial that would have sounded more rational & believable)

At the moment, she gives me the vibe of somebody who'll fight like hell- regardless of her tiny chances of success
Such a good thing that everybody thought about the well-being of the kids (DM’s) before they decided to embark on this shenanigan. A father executed at the request of their mom’s family , an uncle in prison for setting up the murder, three other random people - one who worked for their uncle- in prison for actually stalking and killing their dad, a grandmother in prison possibly for life for her part in having their dad killed. But at least they don’t have their dad’s last name and they have their mom. Surely they will be free of any trauma. </sarcasm>

11 AM tomorrow…yes Law Belle Vie should hav gotten more accolades than she did for posting that video.
Law Belle Vie is very good. Her analysis of the Kastigar issues is great. (She thinks, as I do, that there arent any).

replying to myself cause I had missed that the warrant describes her phone as a ' white apple Iphone'
so it looks like she may have had an older white phone?

<modsnip> Harvey tells the “friend” to the effect you must not inform Charlie of our plans. Thereby two very telling implications:
1. Donna and Harvey do not trust Charlie about their Philippines intended hidden final destination
2. They cut ties with Charlie; and Charlie will not be able to reach them for help.

Poor Charlie! It appears Wendi has not communicated much with him since they were making plan to celebrate Wendi’s birthday party for April 22, 2022. Charlie got arrested that very day.

Family members who murder together do not help each other forever!

These people seem to have access to enough Xanax to do themselves in if they so chose. In my opinion, the fact that Donna chose Vietnam instead suggests her threat was not serious. These people seem to me to think they are invincible. I recall reading somewhere that narcissists don’t tend to do suicide.

The final destination was not Vietnam but rather the Phillipines.
Harvey requested help from the wrong "friend" and the "friend" informed the State.
Hence, the State went to arrest Donna at the airport.
Where did you get this info? What kind of longtime friend has only had brief conversations with them? Is is a friend of Charlie? How would this person speak to Charlie?

So, the cops weren’t monitoring the airports after all, and they would’ve gotten away if the person hadnt called? Horrific.

Right! This also supports my theory that Charlie was being manipulated by Donna during his defense planning and strategy. I’m sure he sat there and concocted this extortion defense himself but I think he did it to also help Donna. Meanwhile Donna is only thinking about herself and waiting for his verdict so she can cut and run if he’s convicted. The fact that he had no support in court during the trial is quite sad for him. There are no relatives? And then his parents were going to abandon him while he was in prison for life? Wow. JMO

Edited to add: The claim about Charlie’s friend calling the DA to tell on Donna and Harvey is unverified. We don’t know if it’s true.

It appears that Marissel Descalzo, Esq. will be of counsel for Donna in this matter.
Contrary to some assessments,Marissel Descalzo, Esq is an experience criminal defense attorney. Her experience includes healthcare malpractice. Perhaps she has been an attorney for the Adelson for other matters involving their dentistry in addition to this murder of their ex-son in-law.
White collar. Very different from what Donna is charged with. Saw how well that worked for Rash.

I’d like to know as well. I keep forgetting to ask for a source on some of this info coming in. Can we get the full report? Why didn’t Jack Campbell mention this during the presser - about this friend of Charlie’s who called them?

That warrant is unreal. Did they call someone they barely knew to discuss Phillipines & say don't tell Charlie because they wanted that person to tell LE? Did they think it was clever to tell that they were going to Phillipines to put resources over there when they were really going to Vietnam? How could they not know that LE would have a capability to search their names on all flights to see where they were going?

Then you see that they have WA in it listing that she would get the benefit of relocation and a sizable life insurance policy. It wouldn't matter if Dan had actually changed the beneficiary. If, at the time of the crime, she didn't know that. Although I still say the family was rich, and she had no reason to kill him for money. It was just a side benefit.

It also shows what I mentioned before that I learned at the last trial. They talked about how phone carriers often don't keep records that long. The problem with them waiting so long to prosecute. These people is that a lot of the evidence is gone. They're asking for 11 years worth of records.
Yeah, I noticed that they said WA had the most to gain. Speaks for itself…

Your conscience can’t eat away at you if you don’t have one, speaking hypothetically.
