Just some of my thoughts. ... Of course, I was more than pleased when I learned Donna was arrested and I've been fascinated to have the window into the Adelson world through the jailhouse calls. I must admit that I have to periodically remind myself that these are people with serious pathologies (evidenced well before the murder through behavior that is well documented). I mention this because when we observe others it is human nature to project our own feelings and experiences -- even if we do so subliminally -- and I find myself repeatedly becoming exasperated and furious at CA and DA for their complete lack of any self-reflection, empathy for others, or willingness to accept the smallest amount of accountability for their actions.

I've been playing a mental game in which I assume Charlie's story is true. If that were the case, both Donna and Charlie would definitely harbor extraordinary anger and hostility towards SG, LR, and KM. The former not only murdered the boys' father; they also supposedly ran the extortion scheme and would truly be the ones who brought all of this hell down on the Adelsons. And Katie (according to his story) turns out to not only be double-crossing Charlie, she testified that he was the mastermind and literally helped put him behind bars. It is so telling that there isn't a shred of outrage toward them and, instead, the bad guys are Georgia and the stupid jury.

I have to keep telling myself that the Adelsons aren't going to change and they aren't going to have a true reckoning in terms of a Perry Mason moment of admitting guilt. They will sing these songs to the day they die and the best we can hope for is that when the grim reaper comes for them they will both still be incarcerated.

Or because the suspects will become terrified and flee? I’m pretty sure WS had no influence on the recent attempt or the lack of prior attempts.

But yes, if someone here discovered definitive evidence against HA or WA, then posting it publicly would be a disservice to the state and the Markels.

This explains why he’s obsessed with the many ways Wendi screwed him over - Georgia tells him that from her perspective Wendi threw him under the bus. State goes out of their way to show that he’s not being charged for conspiring with Wendi but instead for conspiring with Katie. State asks if Wendi is too stupid to live (my words hehe but that’s the gist of it). IMO, this line of questioning by Georgia gives zero indication that Wendi is on the hook/will be charged. On the flip side, it was clear from Charlie’s trial that Donna’s arrest was imminent. Anyway listen/watch from 55:55 to 1:09:

To me it made sense that said he had “innate anger” toward her, given those calls on the bump recordings where he talks about how she is a trust fund baby and doesn’t know how good she has it. In my opinion, he has harbored resentment toward her for a while, perhaps because he did this for her and he doesn’t think she appreciates it. His talk on these calls about how stupid she was to go by the scene, to me, echo the calls we have heard from the bump where he discusses how she should date Dave and doesn’t know what’s best for her, as well as the texts shown at trial where he talks about how her buying a house is stupid. In my opinion, these calls are variations on a theme we have seen with respect to his whole dynamic with Wendi and the way he and Donna sometimes might talk about her, at least what we have heard.

Also good to get a reminder of how cocky & relaxed he was now we've heard him describe how elated he was all weekend to the extent he gave away food and clothing ( By the Monday he was convicted)

One thing I have noticed from Wendi's first interview, she first says the TV repairman came and said the TV was not fixable, but yet she still calls Charlie to see if she should fix the TV or replace it? What? Huh? She was just told it was not fixable by a TV repairman! Now Charlie the periodontist is smarter about TV repair? Made up alibi for the phone call IMO.

I think about CA's protestations in his phone calls and one of Charilie's refrains keeps playing over in my head that overrides any claims he makes about the court case. He had already asserted that his position & education would make him more believed and untouchable, in the Dolce Vida recording. "Who are they going to believe an oral surgeon or dead gangster in my driveway? " So basically it is OK (in Charlie's eyes to believe he is automatically innocent) if the police/prosecutors believe him that situation. But it is not OK to believe police/prosecutors in their investigation of DM's murder! It must be nice to decide when to be believed and when not when to be believed.

IMO, "simmering resentment" will turn into "boiling rage" after CA experiences a few months in a FL max. Won't be many other dentists who were convicted of murder to talk shop with and CA might become a target.
