Her reasoning/excuse for choosing a non-extradition country is absurd IMHO. Did not buy one word of it. Nothing more than lies to cover up what she and her entitled husband were really trying to do, which is get the heck outta dodge before the arrest warrant(s) came down.

Master criminals those Adelsons - instead of taking a private jet to Vietnam, they choose to fly commercial. Instead of renting SG/LR a white nondescript van to drive to Tallahassee to murder Dan, they let them choose a uniquely colored rental car and go through the toll system.

“This is one thing I've learned since I’m there is you don’t, the word is, ‘snitch,’ ” she said. “You don’t snitch. You don’t tell on anyone because you’ll be sorry you did. And I’ve seen that. I didn’t even tell you for a while. I didn't tell anybody.”
Oh brother. I sincerely doubt she's a target.
Sorry, I have no empathy for her at all. Yes, it must suck in there but life is hard at times and can be "unfair". We make decisions sometimes that affect the trajectory of our lives and we have to live with the outcome of those decisions.

What has really struck me about Donna’s testimony during bond hearings Wednesday is her demeanor and drama. We’ve seen her both in court and on Zoom, off and on recently for several weeks and she was demure, talking without effort, and physically able. Now we are seeing a woman needing help on and off the stand, short of breath, crying like a victim, and complaining of all the short comings in jail.

What a drama queen and lier! Not to mention, entitled!

Bet Dan would trade needing his ears cleaned over death. ☹️ OMO.
Plus, trembling hands

As a sidenote, I doubt this would have saved them. Charter companies have similar reporting requirements as commercial airlines. It seems the cops were able to learn the date/time they were flying, so it wouldn't have mattered if it was private or commercial.

Maybe if they owned their own plane, they could have evaded the law, but they don't have that kind of money. Actually, I doubt they have "fly to Vietnam on a private jet" type money either. We're talking $250,000 - $500,000 or more for a one-way flight.

Not nearly as expensive as defending the whole family on first degree murder charges.

Every single person in that court room already knows that jail sucks and there are mean people there. Does DA somehow think that because she is the one experiencing it everyone will be shocked and outraged on her behalf? She is going to be disappointed to learn that no one cares that she doesn’t like being in jail.

Yes, also a direct flight to Vietnam... Much smarter to go somewhere benign for a vacation, and go on from there through an airport that is not so convienent for Florida police.

Feb 26, 2025 #DonnaAdelson #CharlieAdelson #TrueCrime
Donna Adelson continued to take the stand on Wednesday, pleading for bond after shocking jail calls between her and her convicted son, Charlie Adelson, were released. Holding back tears, Adelson described her traumatic experience in jail, including being attacked by an inmate and suffering from various medical issues.
She has sciatic pain, so terrible she is suffering unlike her son in law who was murdered like a dog.

I don’t recall much video coverage of hubby during Wednesday hearings. Understand he was in front row and this was first time he came to court for her. Any press coverage of his reactions or body language between the couple, or was he pretty stoic? Or was filming him verboten?

Hope this is not considered sleuthing the innocent — don’t want to break any rules. He seems like fare game but not sure where WS places him at this point.

She also said that her diet in jail lacked protein and the healthcare was insufficient, according to news outlet Local 10.
*boo-hoo, same.

“It’s just all carbs with no protein”

“We can’t go outside to walk or exercise”

“I wasnt allowed to have a medical mattress”

“I can’t hear because I get wax buildup in my ears and it needs to be removed regularly. I see a doctor that I’ve gone to for years, it’s very simple for him”

She sounded ridiculous. It was contrived and fake. She said she didn’t know what ‘pocket dial’ was. Anyone with a cellphone knows what it is. I think she was trying to distance herself from what was said on that call.

I think prison is going to be really good for her.

Irrelevant really as she discusses suicide and fleeing to avoid extradition on other occasions.
If she was going away to just clear her mind, why was she so secretive about it to Charlie? Instead, she mentioned Dan talking to him about things. She would have been better off saying “Charlie, we are so stressed about your verdict, we are going to go away for a bit”. Of course that would have alerted LE, but LE would have already been suspicious with this call.
What do you think? Of course it’s all about the non disconnected part, but still. When I first heard that call I was thinking “What is Dan supposed to tell Charlie? (with the talk fo settling the trusts etc).
“Where is she going”?
A very inexperienced criminal.
Do you suppose Wendi knew her mom and brother would mess up and take the fall?

And she texted the travel agent asking for urgent advice for an emergency visa for Vietnam.. clearly needing to get out of Dodge ASAP.

Right I forgot about that. I guess Sarah is saving that for the trial.

Sounds like a moment worth seeing. Do you have a link to the clip?
No links to clip. Was watching via STS Nation, but probably a pool camera, right? Was at the very end of the hearing were they discussed about conflict having Rushbaum serving on both DA and CA as their attorney. So decision to have Rushbaum withdraw was made. So he smiled as he stood up for the last time as her attorney. Maybe relieved that this case was done for him?

Have at it. HA and WA have not been arrested, but are guilty and they will be arrested and convicted. The State can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the money drop happened and it was both DA and HA at the money drop, so that's him gonski.

New filing today (Feb 28) by DA's defense team. It looks like they are reminding the court about the Adam Frasch case where he was released on bond in 2015 after repeated failed attempts (but later sentenced to LWOP).

Does anyone know the reason that Frasch was actually released on bond? I thought this was not allowed in Florida for those charged with capital crimes?

I don't know why, but he was not deemed to be a flight risk. DA is a flight risk. As well as a suicide risk. She's not getting bonded out.
