She probably wants to torch them now! They didn’t perform the way she wanted to.
Horrible and cheap looking. The look didn’t work for sure! Too contrived.

Though JL had some useful info to share, IMO, he seems to have an agenda. Maybe a jilted lover?? Possibly one of many??
I'm sure JL felt used and abused.

However, most of the spicy details that are being quoted are from JL's interviews with Isom when he voluntarily came in to talk about the Adelson family, how they felt about Dan, and the various things he had experienced while being around them. I don't know how much his interviews mattered in the end, perhaps everything would have turned out the same, but I do think his accusations helped focus the police in the Adelsons' direction during the early days of the investigation. I also believe his background in social work allowed him to provide Isom with some insight into the family's psychological makeup.

Do you think he should he have withheld that information from law enforcement? Perhaps you think he should have only told Isom the bare facts and just kept his mouth shut about his opinions and insights? MYOB?

What if for no other reason than -- that she didn't stop what she had to know was being planned or about to happen -- That to me is also part of the conspiracy. Liken it to a get away driver in a crime. You knew what was about to happen so you are guilty of at least a lesser charge. Happens all the time.
Are you familiar with the Florida case where Denise Williams conspired with her husband's best friend to murder him while they were on a fishing trip together? At first, she was convicted of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The murder convicted was reversed and the conspiracy to commit murder remained. So did the 30-year sentence. Oh, BTW, she then collected the life insurance money that the best friend set up for them. The best friend then divorced his wife and married Denise.

Then, fast forward, many years later, they were getting a divorce and he kidnaps her. This "best friend" now husband gets charged with kidnapping. He exchanges the information about the murder of the first husband and location of the body for a lesser sentence. What a tangled web. Both are in jail...Him (I think) for the kidnapping. Her for conspiracy of murder of her first husband.

Information at the link: Judge: Denise Williams to remain in prison on 30 year sentence

So, this is a possibility in Wendi's case.

I think that he was being frank and honest. Quite frankly, he was being used, and Wendi did try to set him up, IMO. It probably would be hard for me to hide my disdain for her and her family if I were he.

I feel like he is calling it as he saw it. Believe him or not. I choose to believe him. Just look at the end result.

Charlie gave a brief phone interview after Donna’s conviction. Don’t think the link is allowed here, but google Donna Thomas hubpages if interested.

Good catch and observation there @Smelly Squirrel ….. one more little coincidence perhaps? They surely must be adding up? Maybe sometime in the future a thread will be started for WA? As GC seems to remind and suggest again after the DA verdict and conviction - ‘stay tuned’. MOO

We'll see if this is a hoax, there are no sources cited and CA's quotes sound way too polite.

Horrible and cheap looking. The look didn’t work for sure! Too contrived.

It’s always the baby blue sweater! Sean Combs wore one over a button down white shirt. So many defendants have chosen it for their chance to deceive the jurors. It has the reverse effect on me.

My thoughts are that she wanted to appear more like a sweet granny for optics. Granny’s don’t do bad things. In her attorneys minds, granny’s aren’t travelling the world unless a grandchild is with them. Botox, and blonde hair is for the self centred 75 year olds who want to look younger (that is not a true statement but I can totally see her attorneys taking that position). They seemed so out of touch with the times.

In her first photo from jail she looks like a refined petite woman who is beauty conscious and takes care of herself. They didn’t want a persona that appears vain and spends money to no end on her visual appearance. The gray hair, baby blue sweaters and overweight facade works well for a sweet granny. She’s home making banana bread for her family and her synagogue. She would never hurt anyone.
Unless you're Dorothea Puente.

I know what
How would you feel if someone set you up to take the fall for a murder? Think he is pretty even-handed in light of that! Bet he thanks his stars he decided to leave town early had evidence was found along the way he was were he said he was.
I think JL and Rob A had the most damaging testimony.

i listened to some jail calls from Charlie to the Baby Mama Bree right after conviction and honestly just like Donna he expected to go home that night. He really thought he would walk. Did say an appeal is pointless as everything they wanted in was admitted.

Just noticed that the mods changed the title to 5 Guilty! Now we move into the Recently Sentenced and Beyond...

This depends on the jurisdictions, many don't legally obligate a citizen report a crime. i.e charge them if they don't report an impending murder. And conspiracy is to give furtherance to a crime, contribute something to it such as the victims address.

But as I've said a few times knowing about a crime becomes an offence (Accessory after the fact) when you lie about it and help the perpetrator evade justice. Hence the reason police always say to interviewees "you're a witness, don't become a suspect." i.e don't lie to protect someone suspected of committing a crime.

This is why people plead the 5th. It means they can keep quiet and don't open themselves up to prosecution. Which makes WA's decision no to assert her 5th amendment rights (in the police interview) all the more bizarre.

She told JL that CA had considered hiring a hitman to kill DanM. She then lied in the LE interview to protect CA and this helped him evade justice for 8 years.

That said I think now the State have enough to charge her with murder, conspiracy and solicitation.

What is case management????
Wondering this myself! The case is closed, isn’t it? She was found guilty of all three charges.

She’s really angry about it and had a tantrum, but to my thinking, there’s nothing more to discuss!

MOO.

Right, Donna definitely hinted that Wendi “owed” her.
Donna was “taken” and “used” by Wendi. Probably didn’t expect that.
What goes around, comes around.

Agree with what you said although admittedly at first I was taken back by the TIKTOK videos. LYK did a review and in general was fine with her speaking out as she has but did bring up the instruction that judge everett could have given to not go on social media during the trial. Some judges give this instruction. I think that might have been wise. During the trial I think the risk to have something pop up might be great. She was clearly active during the trial on sm.
Do we know what kind of work she does that might have given her immediate respect from the other jurors and a capacity to lead? Just curious since someone said she was only in her 20s. Who knows. Maybe she grew up the oldest in a large family and learned how to organize people, but I’d love to learn from her if she revealed anything in her posts. (I’m not on social media.)

A case management conference is just what it sounds like, a status meeting. The case isn't over as Donna hasn't been sentenced yet. The defense asked for a pre-sentence report on counts 2 and 3. (Why? I don't know. She's going to get sentenced to life on the first count since it's first degree murder. The other counts are practically irrelevant.)

I believe the report needs to be done by the Department of Corrections, and it takes a while to complete. So, in October they are going to reconvene and check on the status of the report. If it's done she will likely get sentenced at that time. If not, they'll set another date a few weeks later.
