LWOP + 30 years. Counts 2 and 3 will be 30 years each concurrent to each other but consecutive to count 1.

  • #1,104
Life plus 30yr and another 30 to run consecutive to the Life sentence am I getting that right?

Unreal! Time to stop this!!!

Why are they rehashing?

On to WA and after this performance the state needs to get HA as well.

If counts 2 and 3 are each 30 years and running concurrent then I think it's LWOP + 30 not LWOP + 60.

How many of these people that wrote support letters will bother to visit the convicted murderess in prison. My guess is not a single one. She is not worth a visit and they know it.

Well, Ben Graber certainly won’t…..you know the man who hasn’t even seen her in twenty years but felt the need to speak today via zoom to expound on his resume…..

“My son in law, Dan Markel, was a fine and decent man. He was a good son-in-law, more importantly he was a caring and loving father,” she said. “His death is a loss to his children, his parents, all of us in his family, his friends, his colleagues in the legal community and his students at FSU Law...My heart was broken when Danny died.”

Donna’s statement then turned to the trial and evidence presented.

“It’s interesting,” she said. “That the state cannot decide who they believe to be the mastermind behind this.”

She listed Magbanua’s and Charlie Adelson’s trial saying the state claimed they were the masterminds.

“They claim that I, this grandma, was the mastermind behind this murder,” Donna said.

Donna went on to question the state’s evidence.

“Where is the evidence prior to the murder,” she asked.

Judge Everett stopped Donna asking if the defense is trying to retry the case.

“The court can take into consideration the utter lack of remorse you are displaying,” Judge Everett told Donna.

Donna continued her testimony, once again questioning the evidence, going as far as to say one may think the jury was asleep during some of the state’s evidence.

Judge Everett stopped Donna’s testimony a second time and after speaking with her attorney’s she continued.

“Convicting me should not be retribution for Danny’s death,” she said. “I’ve never even gotten a parking ticket and yet I’m being sent to prison for a crime I did not commit.”

She passionately pleaded her innocence to the judge.

“I swear to you on my life, I was not involved in anyway in Danny’s murder. I was not,” Donna said.

Did Fulford really say "the jury did prove she was guilty"?

If she was 'aware' then she could have stopped it!! She didn't and should be charged with conspiracy.
If she was aware and she lied = Accessory after the fact.

I must be missing something here! I know Dan Markel’s family was permitted to do a Victim Impact Statement at the time of the verdict so they wouldn’t have to return from Canada. Why didn’t we have any Victim Impact Statements from the prosecution today?

The letter writers have their own agenda. They want to be seen as faithful and upright people who are willing to stand up for their friends. Thats the “noble thing” to do. They like having a doctor friend who they can call anytime they need a script.
If the A’s owned a farm and sold milk as a business they wouldn’t have the same support.

A friend of mine went through a bad divorce of as a result of sex addiction. Her husband was a high profile doctor and an active political force. His friends were there in support of her when an intervention was made. They showed up to it. They were hopeful that he would stop.

He continued in his addiction therefore the marriage was doomed. The friends who were there for the intervention avoided depositions and refused to be a witness for his wife (my friend). It was clear that they were interested in perks. It was so sad.

I think her friends were fooled. Harvey probably assisted them with their statements, maybe even paid for it. In the minds of DA and HA she is innocent because she didn’t pull the trigger. Truth is it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for Mrs. Adelson. Charlie didn’t care about the divorce to the point of needing to kill Dan. It was Donna who spearheaded this.

Harvey didn’t know you could lie in a courtroom? Ask Wendi, your daughter, how easy it is.
