FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen-Donna Adelson Upcoming Trial - *5 Guilty* #28

Where are you getting it was supposed to be inside the house?
It was right there on Donna's step by step instruction paper in the envelope that Katie says she didn't open. Like the money she didn't count.

If the Sfafe can persuade Sigfredo to talk, he can tell us what was on the paper. But for now Katie has only told selected bloggers and Internet posters. LOL.

Seriously, if Sigredo were to tell everything he knows, we would have a much clearer picture of the plan.

Even persuading the TV repairman to hang around for what? 40 minutes was it? to repair an obviously not repairable TV could then have constituted participation in the plan.

The TV guy has given a statement and it's odd and confusing. He states the TV was cracked and not repairable. That takes 30 seconds to determine. He told WA this and "went over the costs of a replacement TV." At no point was repairing the TV ever a topic of conversation once he told her it could not be repaired. He was there for another 45 minutes.

WA engaged him unnecessarily in conversation talking about how it was a gift from her brother, a post divorce present, how the boys had damaged it, she wasn't there though, her Dad was. Then said she'd have to call her brother to discuss the cost of replacing the TV.... it's a freaking $300 TV! Something which JL offered to replace multiple times.

Clearly an alibi albeit one designed by idiots hence the reason it makes no sense which confused me for a while. Why not just go to the shops and be seen on CCTV. But then I realised the Adelsons don't think like you and I. If they did they would not have conjured up such a clumsy plot one befitting some kind of black comedy where the murderers are complete bozos.

Their alibi had to be convoluted as it was a representation of their superior intellect. The more complicated the better. Whereas in reality a simple alibi would have sufficed. Similarly with their "ingenious" code. What they didn't realise is innocent people don't talk in code. Talking in code is suspicious!

Tim Jansen just said on STS that he does NOT believe Wendi’s arrest is imminent. He also talked about the complexities regarding Wendi’s immunity and made the point that prosecutors have to think long and hard before deciding to give immunity to witnesses – I fully agree and have made this point many times. Does that mean they made a strategic error OR they never planned to charge her?

He also said he knew he was going to hate for that hot take and the ‘some crazy guy’ is going to go the internet and…… he didn’t finish the thought but it was obvious who he was talking about LOL, Looking forward to that ‘guys’ next livestream :)

Should we stay tuned or not?

The same clown that said DA was making a plea deal "time served".....

And he got that from a "credible source"

Ultimately the State are not going to be divulging sensitive information, critical to the case, to any Tom, Dick and Harry.

After the false rumor of plea deal for DA that TJ started I don't listen to anything he has to say. He's always bragging about his connections to friends in the know that IMO aren't worth even mentioning as they provide nothing.....

I seriously wouldn’t doubt if there was some truth behind the plea deal /discussion news leaked to Tim. There was a lot of wordsmithing in both Jack Campbell and Josh Zelman’s responses after Tim’s news went viral in this little Addelson bubble. Their denials didn’t convince me of anything. Personally I think Tim has the best sources of anyone that regularly comments on the case and I although I don’t always agree with his takes, I find him be fair and well-grounded. I disagreed with his decision to drop that ‘plea’ deal news when he did – but we all make mistakes.

I think Tim is legitimately well connected in Tallahassee. I think it’s Joel that brags about Tim’s connections. Tim appears humble to me. JMO

State Attorney Jack Campbell firmly denies rumors of plea deals for Donna Adelson

Adelson's defense attorney also confirms the State did not offer Adelson a plea deal

He's a lawyer. You have to parse the exact wording very carefully. Think of what is the closest to the opposite of the assertion that would be technically consistent with the wording. That's likely to be the truth.

There is no way the state is letting Donna walk to get Wendi. Donna is the most culpable. It’s like letting the Mafia Boss walk to get the lieutenant. I was a fan of Tim Jansen up until that “reveal.” I don’t know what to think now.

Noone on the prosecution team is leaking information to some Youtuber knowing the whole world is going to see it. That would cost them their career. And Tim is a lawyer, he knows from law school you verify your source, you make sure it is credible.

Yup. And Tim Jansen is an experienced trial lawyer, he knows that DA is at the very least equally as culpable as WA. There's no logic to letting her walk.

Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jeff testifies that during the conversation where Wendi disclosed the details of the celebration dinner, she told him on the day of the murder she left her home but forgot her phone, turned around at the roadblock and went home to retrieve her phone - then went straight to ABC but she didn’t tell law enforcement because she thought it would seem suspicious.
She said that when choosing which store to go to it was “the first one that came up”. I’d think she is referring to a google search on her phone.
Georgia never probed with that answer. Such as “Do you mean you did a google search”.?
She seemed to know of that store.

If she did that, I doubt with her phone location it would have been the “first” and at the top.
That comment from W came up in the first trial I think. So she had her phone if thats the case.
Why would she tell Jeffrey that? And the state isn’t going to even ask him about that.

Good try :)

If Wendi were to be indicted, I believe John Lauro is smart enough to and test the waters to see what type of deal he can get. That can be done while maintaining Wendi’s innocence of conspiracy to commit murder and by telling the state perhaps Wendi might have known more than she testified to re her family’s involvement. John is seasoned enough to know how to navigate this by not getting any type of confession from Wendi. If he has the framework of a deal worked out with the state he can speak to Wendi in hypotheticals. E.g. - the state is willing to give you X amount of years if you plead guilty to providing false testimony.

I firmly believe the case against Wendi for conspiracy to commit murder will not be an easy burden for the state to prove and although I personally believe she lied about what she knew re her family’s involvement, that isn’t easy to prove either. A short jail sentence may be a compromise both sides would consider? Lauro and Wendi need to measure the risk / reward after reviewing the states full discovery prior to weighing the options. They may assess all the evidence and determine the state can’t reasonably meet the burden of proof and decide to roll the dice.
Sounds like you think they are going to arrest her..you are getting closer…:)
Theres going to be lot more evidence.
Georgia didn’t work this hard for 11 years to make a plea.
Imo Wendi is going down. And soon.
I say this due to Campbell and Ruth’s recent interview comments.

Interesting.

She'd lived in that area for 7 years+ and she liked a drink or two (twenty) so I'm sure she knew where her closest liquor stores were.

Nothing wrong with going to one that was further away. I do that with certain stores. But then lying about it and saying things like "I'm bad with directions...." really.. And you have an iphone with Google maps and she referred to herself as being "techsavy." How did she even navigate her way to Mozaik...
