This TV cost her Life plus 30.

In her arrogance she underestimated the TPD.
Yep. The Adelsons probably thought Tally was a hillbilly backwater filled with poorly educated hicks. Maybe they thought the trial would be like in the movie "My Cousin Vinny." (That's actually one of my faves.) Boy, were they ever wrong. Although it took a while, TPD and the prosecution dotted all their i's and crossed all their t's.

I'm very surprised at what took place in the courtroom yesterday. I've never seen that before. I'm surprised the judge, seemingly a no nonsense type of guy allowed it in the first place. GC had no responses or questions, not surprising, a meh to the whole bunch. I can only hope there is more to come in this case. HA and WA need to answer for something. To think this happened right under their nose in this incestuous family and HA or WA not know is unbelievable.

I'm sure the DA's office in Tally is sick of them, but it can't be over. Lesser charges for HA and WA but something, tax evasion. IRS, perjury, etc.. Others generally have been brought down for less in society.
I feel the judge was willing to let the A's have loose lips to see if they spewed more incriminating information.
They certainly provided their Markel grandsons with stellar role model behavior.

Since Wendi does not speak to her mother anymore, Donna had to figure our a way to "dramatically memorialize" her version of the story for Dan's sons. It was the ultimate "See what I have done for you!" Donna-the-Martyr-of-Miami:
Whenever her little speech is replayed, it should always include the absolute evidence of her involvement, the immediate call to her co-conspirator Charlie Adelson "THIS TV IS GOING TO COST FIVE. "
That simple sentence solidified her financial involvement, her knowledge of code words and her partner(s) in crime.
I found it interesting to watch and hear her acting range. No more need for "hearing devices", No need for a wheel chair, No more "shiver shake" , weeping without tears and throwing her head back as she side eyes the television cameras. Nope, this was just one more performance from an angry entitled old lady.... oh brother.
And Harvey? His contempt for social media didn't stop him from partaking in a free slice of pizza...oh brother.

It was also so noticeable after her performance how calm and sniffle-free she was for the duration of the hearing; job done, message delivered and now perfectly poised and attentive.

And it seems it keeps getting lost on her family and friends who extol her virtues as a mother and grandmother who would do anything for the children - the whole plan was hatched (imo) because Dan filed the "grandma clause" to restrict her to only supervised visits with the grandkids. She was not having that for a moment, something had to be done and Charlie was dating someone who could help in that regard. Yes, grandmother of the year would do anything for her grands, including the murder of their own father.

Mooooo

Donna Adelson is already on her way to state prison following her sentencing Monday.

Circuit Judge Stephen Everett sentenced Adelson to life in prison just before 6 p.m. Monday and court records show Adelson was released to the Florida Department of Corrections at 5:48 a.m. Tuesday.

Adelson does not yet show up in the DOC’s online inmate search.

Female inmates typically go to a reception center in Ocala first for processing before being transferred to another permanent facility.

Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman, who prosecuted all five of the people charged and convicted so far in Markel’s murder, commented on the sentencing hearing Oct. 14 during a break in a grand jury meeting at the Leon County Courthouse.

“I thought it was unusual,” Cappleman told the Tallahassee Democrat in a brief exclusive interview. “I heard it referred to as a ‘goat rope,’ which was a pretty good description.”
……
Before she was sentenced, fingerprinted and led out of the courtroom, she gave the judge, prosecutors and even the victim’s family a piece of her mind — pointing the finger of blame at everyone but herself during a rant that lasted more than 10 minutes.
………
“I thought she was helping me, and I appreciate that,” Cappleman said. “Because she’s not doing herself any favors if she thinks she’s going to get her life sentenced reversed and is lobbying the court to give her a lesser sentence on Counts 2 and 3. She doesn’t do herself any favors by shooting arrows all over the courtroom, including to the judge.”

You are spot on. That was a freak show. The arrogance and entitlement knows no bounds with these two. Lying is beneath them, as if.

Were there any real tears?
Why were she and Harvey even allowed to speak? Clearly there was going to be no remorse.
