FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen-Donna Adelson Upcoming Trial - *5 Guilty* #28

Do you think it's possible that Wendi is being followed by the FBI all the time now? Can they follow a person even without hiding? Who knows how it works? I'm thinking about this because I've seen several comments from the same person that Wendi is being followed by the FBI and that she's constantly renting cars. These are just my guesses, of course I don't really believe it. 😁

When do FBI follow someone with kids that might flee? Where would she flee to? Likely a country where she could use her Spanish, does she speak other languages? What non- extradition countries fit that possibility? How would a mother with two teenage boys flee? Would she leave them behind or would she expect them to go with her? It is easier to see how CA or DA and HA would flee, harder to see how a woman who lives with 3 other family members would flee. But this is pure speculation on my part- I have no idea how often this happens. Also think it would make any prosecution, including in absentia, much, much easier.

WA won't flee. I think she has poor coping mechanisms and would never survive for long on the run.

Yes, I think they are watching Wendi, she keeps moving, they keep following. I strongly believe she is next, within months. Hint:the way Georgia/ Sarah rolled out each case, each case strongly incriminating the next person / leading to the next arrest.

The children have absolutely no bearing on if/when Wendi will be arrested. The state of Florida has laws to keep citizens safe from dangerous people, even if they have children that would be orphaned, after a conviction.

Georgia and Sarah are now organizing Wendi’s case, possible immunity issues, sorting out ahead what can stay in, what’s out, getting ready for pre trial motions, Lauro.

There are several former friends of Wendi, such as Sara Yousef, Tamara Demko, plus Stephen Webster( Dans Atty), who were not in previous trials. Their testimony would be very incriminating for Wendi. Jeff La Casse, Tamara Demko and Stephan Webster, all immediately thought Adelsons did it. Their interviews are really revealing.

My take is that Donna was the ringleader( glad she has been put away). Charlie wanted to help Mom, enjoyed the Gangsta life, so he jumped onboard( glad he has been put away).

Donna talked Wendi into going along with plan, “Wendi was scared from the beginning”. Then, Wendi agreed, was all in, lots of signs of her involvement. She let others know Dan’s intimate details/ schedule. Many, many signs. Since all the others before her went down(5), Wendi is going down almost 💯!

Counterargument:

1. She knows she'd be extradited for a murder trial.
2. Moving to Texas wouldn't help with that, but it gets her away from the Florida Markel Act and the risk of her in-laws winning a wrongful death lawsuit and visitation rights.
3. She's already fled from the real legal risk- Markel visitation.

That's the same conclusion I've drawn. WA was quite happy to have Dan killed, but was very apprehensive. I think she was terrifed of getting caught and going to prison.

SY's testimony will be damning.

Georgia always spoke to Wendi very sarcastically and between the lines. I know you're a little guilty, she even mentioned it at closing. What's the point of that if they're not going to arrest her.

Wendi turned out to be a terrible actress. Her mother said “ give the performance… I know you can do it” ( paraphrased), right before crime. Wendi failed from the start.

Wendi went from “Doe Eyed Deer”, side tilt head, over acting, “innocent act”,
flirting with male jurors, somewhat confident first testimony, but not at all believable,
To Wendi testifying in Donna’s case, petrified, guilty>>Deer caught in Headlights! Busted!

Plus screaming hysterically to SY that she was going to go to prison for the rest of her life...

Haha, her guilty “leakage” was so telling. She is not a good “actress” at all.

Catching up on comments I missed.
It began bothering me when Carl started criticizing Georgia as being incompetent -and how he would handle the case differently if he were the prosecutor.
I think he referred to the SO as “those prosecutors in Tallahassee” or something similar-in a derogatory way.

Then he showed up in Georgias (the states) courtroom, and is filmed after DA’s conviction by Joel outside on a bench sitting there with his brother and new wife, as if he now supports the justice system in Tallahassee.

Perhaps he is just supporting the Markels , but to suport the Markels he ought to be supporting the states efforts.
I know Phil has been on his channel in chat (bless his heart), and since the Markels support the state and have even thanked them after DA’s conviction, you just wonder if the family is as in tune with Carls criticism as we who closely follow all info on the case are.
I like Carl and I think he is on the side of justice, very thorough analysis of Wendi’s involvement.

Yes, I heard him complaining that Georgia has more than enough, she should go ahead with Wendi and Harvey, at the same time, and right away. He came on a little too strong. He is just impatient. MOO

If I remember correctedly, MOO, He mentioned this after Donna was convicted, because it was only 3 hours for the jury to convict in both Charlie’s and Donna trials, so he thought Wendi and Harvey would be similar, no reason to wait.

I don’t think Georgia is waiting, I think she is very busy with this case ( sorting out immunity items, getting ready for motions, Lauro), and her other cases. MOO

There are cases that have taken 2-3 years for indictments to be issued. A sexual assault case I followed in Australia took 18 months from reporting the offence to the indictment even though the case was black and white. (He was quickly convicted).

So I think people (including me) were being hopelessly optimistic when we thought WA might be indicted post DA's trial. That said the State have prosecuted this case 5 times, I think they should be ready by March-June.

That sounds like a very reasonable timeframe.

The state may want to be prepared for the defense to ask for a quick trial- so probably want to make sure all data is throughly reviewed and ready to be shared with defense team so no information is not thrown out due to technicalities.

Last night's 20/20 was on the arrest and presumably the trial of Donna Adelson, if you can still find it. I'm just getting around to watching the DVR of it. The title is "Meddler or Murderer?".
