Jeffrey Keith, 45, went missing 10 months ago, from the next county south of Gainesville. I don't believe he is listed in NamUs. He is 5'8", within 2 inches, and should be an easy rule-out based on dentals. Jeffrey wore dentures.

Alachua County Sheriff's Office looking for help identifying skeletal remains

They have released a composite and I'm trying to get it linked here.

An investigation by several agencies and labs has brought forward a facial reconstruction that ACSO is now sharing with the public.

The remains belong to a white male, around 5'10" tall, between 40 and 60 years old. He was wearing blue jeans and brown work boots.

Just want to note a discrepancy here: the Namus info quoted above lists the wrong age range, but it has now been corrected on Namus. Age range is 40-60.

Height and age are good. Hair blond vs brown. Not sure what he was doing for 20 plus years or how he would have ended up in FL and I believe he more than likely got lost/injured in CA but I saw similarities and there is a military background.

Details of Disappearance
Spring was last seen when he was dropped off by a family member in the vicinity of Tipton Road and White Water Road in Whitewater, California at 6:30 a.m. on October 10, 1988. He said he was going hiking and camping for a few days and would hitchhike back home or call his family for a ride.

There was a possible sighting of Spring between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. on the day of his disappearance at the base of the San Jacinto mountains, but he has not been seen since then. An extensive search of the surrounding area turned up no sign of him.

Spring was trained for survival when he was in the United States Army. He worked for the California Department of Forestry at the time of his disappearance, and was also a volunteer firefighter with the Bostonia, California Fire Department. He was interested in a career as a firefighter and had completed his training in that area. His case remains unsolved.
