*Motions Hearing (@ 9am ET) - FL – 3 year old girl (Aug. 16, 2019, Jacksonville) – *Johnathan Jerome Godwin (14/now 17) arrested (10/14/19), charged (10/10/19) & arraigned (10/16/19) with 2nd degree felony murder & felony aggravated child abuse. Plead not guilty. Held in juvenile detention facility by court order.
Jury selection begins on 3/13/23.

…..pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated child neglect and was sentenced as a youthful offender.

….six years of probation…..

…..must complete high school or obtain a GED, stay employed or in school, participate in mentoring programs and job training, and live with a parent until he is 18.

Beating someone to death isn't neglect, JFC.

I'm sorry, babygirl. This never should have happened to you. At the very least, his sentence should have more accurately reflected the gravity of your completely senseless death.

I just hope this somehow stays on his record so that he never has access to kids.
