Hmmm..... timeline is making me wonder what happened in between 9/17 and 9/28. I worked in 2 different airports and know that there are cameras everywhere. If they believe he took the plane on 9/28, then they had video to prove it. He would have had to file a flight plan to use the runway if it was daytime. If he took it during a period when the tower was unmanned, like the dead of night, then he would have been literally, flying blind. Not knowing if someone else was about to take off or land. Maybe that is truly what happened. Why would his last contact be 9/17 tho? Last contact with who? Even night time security would have seen him at the hanger. Not that they would have spoken to him.

This makes me think he was on a suicide mission and went into the water.

Gregory Taylor Wilcox – The Charley Project

At the time of his disappearance, Wilcox was transient and living out of his truck, which was left abandoned at the airport. The circumstances of his disappearance are unclear.
