I wonder what he was being arrested for when he violently resisted arrest? Then bonded out 2 days prior to last time she was seen. Did she have him arrested for something? Had she possibly taken out a restraining order on him and he violated it? I'm very curious about this arrest.

When the officer confronted Anthony “He began acting extremely nervous by repeating himself, standing up and down and pulling the tape off.”

Anthony walked quickly to the driver’s door of the truck, asking if he was being detained. He reached into the cab, telling the officer he was getting his license.

When he reached for the floorboard under the driver’s seat, the officer pulled his service weapon on Anthony.

“At this point in time, Anthony exited the vehicle, sat on his buttocks and showed me his hands,” the report said.

As another officer who had arrived as backup tried to handcuff Anthony, he “dove into the car and repeatedly slammed the door on Officer (Jennifer) Jones’ left arm as Jones was trying to pull him out of the vehicle and stop him from reaching around for an unknown object,” the affidavit said.

It took Jones and a third officer to take Anthony into custody. The “unknown object” in Anthony’s hand was never identified, though his arrest report lists a weapon seized as a blunt object.

What a piece of work, trolling for little girls, then blaming his own little girl for the tape in his liscence plate. Then assusltung LEO. Why was not kept in jail then??????

Police said they have not found Gretchen Anthony's body, nor have they located David Anthony's black and white Husky dog that authorities said was frequently with his owner.

I was under the impression the dog was with DA when he was arrested.

Florida fugitive arrested in Las Cruces

David E. Anthony, 43, was taken into custody by New Mexico State Police on March 31.
Officials said Anthony was located walking his dog on Avenida de Mesilla and Hickory Dr. in Las Cruces.

This article popped up as a new article & states updates were shared by LE. However, after reading through it, I didn’t see any new info (may have overlooked it). The date also shows 4/09.

The article as a whole is very thorough & provides a descent “picture” of a timeline of events. IMO.

Police body cam video shows violent arrest of David Anthony before wife's disappearance

The Sat night before Gretchen Anthony was last seen at work Mar 19, police arrested her estranged husband David Anthony on Singer Island.
Police body cam video obtained by WPBF 25 News shows the incident unfold.
It took two officers, including a sergeant to bring him to the ground, where David Anthony becomes apologetic.
David Anthony claimed he was just trying to turn on the air conditioning for his husky dog, which Animal Care and Control Officers later picked up.
In the video, you can see and hear officers searching David Anthony's truck say they found a large knife under the front seat, lots of cash and his passport.

Florida man accused of using COVID-19 to cover up killing estranged wife requests 'care' in extradition

Before David Anthony signed a waiver to get extradited back to FL, his attorney alerted the hearing court judge about his client's concerns during the travel.

"He is requesting that I state on the record that he had numerous orthopedic surgeries on his knees and shoulders and asked if he could have reasonable accommodations, not to exacerbate those injuries in his transport back to the state of Florida,"
The attorney also noted that his client is "quite" tall and stands at 6-foot-7.
Is this guy for real???

The judge’s response: he'll ask the corrections officers to "take care of him during transport to Florida."

To Note:
•Authorities say they have evidence that David Anthony killed GA, but to date have not found her body.
• LE asks anyone who may have seen David Anthony’s dark-colored Nissan Frontier in late March to contact them.
•They say Anthony put a Florida Power & Light Co. magnet on the side of the truck, parked in public areas and set up cones and a portable tent to appear as if he were working.
•Police would not say where he set up the faux work sites and what, if anything, he did there. •Authorities seized his truck when they arrested him in New Mexico and are holding it for evidence.
•Warrants show Jupiter police repeatedly searched Gretchen Anthony’s home.
•March 27, they took bloodied sheets both from the master bedroom and a child’s room, towels from the washing machine and cleaning products from the kitchen.
•three days later, LE took a hammer, a paint brush and a strip of duct tape from the garage
•Police have not specified how they suspect Anthony killed his estranged wife.

Perhaps he damaged those orthopedic repairs to his shoulders & knees when he bashed in her head (speculating) with the hammer LE removed from the house. Or during the body dump- that’s gotta be taxing on those joints.

Maybe prosecution can use death penalty to negotiate location of remains. Family deserves that closure- and LWOP might be better than never knowing where she is- jmo.

David Anthony, the Jupiter man charged in the murder of his estranged wife, has been returned from New Mexico.

Video from the porch of Gretchen Anthony’s home shows a tall man lying in wait. When Gretchen steps out onto the porch, you hear muffled shouting, and someone saying, “What are you doing?”

In another security video from the home, someone is seen, unmoving, on the floor of the garage. Next to the person is a water jug smeared with blood. The video also shows a man reaching up to disable a security camera.

The man, authorities said in a report posted Thursday, is David Anthony, Gretchen’s estranged husband.
Anthony was booked early Thursday at the Palm Beach County Jail, charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping.

On Thursday morning, Circuit Judge Laura Johnson ordered Anthony be held without bond.

Police said surveillance video from Gretchen's home showed a tall man standing in the victim's screened-in porch around 6 a.m. on March 21 carrying an "unknown object."

Ten minutes later, Gretchen could be seen walking onto the porch and there was a "muffled yelling heard," the arrest report said.

Hours later, a security camera in the garage showed "a blood soaked head of light colored hair" lying on the ground and not moving.

A man, later identified as David Anthony, could be seen walking in the background of the garage, police said.

A Palm Beach County judge denied Anthony bond Thursday and ordered him to have no contact, including by telephone, with the victim's family or witnesses.
